If i could have given zero stars I would have! BUYERS BEWARE! SpotOn misrepresents themselves as providers of gift-cards that can actually be used. Friends bought our daughter and e-gift card for college graduation to a restaurant near her new apartment in NYC on SpotOn. A $250 giftcard (ending in 1348) to Momoya. She tried to use it at Momoya in Chelsea - near her apt. and Momoya told her they "do not accept e giftcards" Only their Upper Westside location at 81st and Amsterdam does. The entire purpose of this gift was to have a restaurant near her Apt so when she came home late from work, she could get some take-out. She lives in the West Village - 60 blocks away! We had to embarrass the friends who gave her the card and tell them the card would not be honored. They spoke to a manager at Momoya and they told them the restaurants were individual franchises and they do not honor Spoton. They reached out to SpotOn, asked for a refund so that they could buy a physical Momoya gift card from the Chelsea location which she could use ... SpotOn REFUSED!!! Nowhere on any of SpotOn's literature do they state that the e-gift cards could only be used at certain locations , they represented themselves as a provider for Momoya ! SpotOn refuses to refund the purchase and told us we just have to go to the other location which is more than 60 blocks away! This defeats the purpose of this gift!

Hi Bettina, while we understand your frustration. As a third party, we work with restaurants like the Momoya location your friends purchased a gift card from. As the restaurant manager explained, this gift card may not be able to be redeemed at another Momoya franchise that does not use SpotOn. This is not a SpotOn error, but rather a misunderstanding that restaurants with the same name do not necessarily use the same payment and gift card companies. We hope your daughter is able to enjoy a meal at our restaurant partner, the Momoya in West Village.

I can not say enough good things about this company and the team behind it. They are truly the tech team that every small business needs behind them. Professional, resourceful, flexible, and trust worthy. They understand why we do certain things in the restaurant business. They made big tools operationally and financially available to small guys. Yes this is Vu The Owner of Banh Mi Oven Sandwich Joint. We grew from a small operation trying to survive covid-19 to multi location and multi state operation during the time we work with SpotOn Company. I thank you for professionalism and wonderful resources when we needed them most. As we grow I can't wait to see the development ahead with SpotOn.
