I ordered a garage door torsion spring the same day that mine broke. I was unable to open my garage door at all. Preferred Doors website was very informative and easy to use in determining which replacement spring to order. Preferred Doors had the replacement spring at my doorstep in two days. This was regular freight! Excellent!

Fair pricing, accurate and easy to use website, quick shipping with priority mail and tracking. These quick turn garage door hinges solved my low clearance problem so an automatic opener could be used.

I went on line, found the garage door opener I needed, ordered it, it arrived, I followed the instructions and gave it to my step son, for his side of the garage!

I ordered my part on August 26, 2017. I only just found out today, Sept. 2, 2017, from a nasty call from the owner, I believe, that they are based out of Houston. He called to verbally assault me for stating that I hadn't received my order yet on this review site! I did not know they were based in Houston! If I had known that, of course I would not have even given a review! This owner, I believe, just assumed that I was some fool who didn't care about the devistation, but just wanted my order! I don't look to see where the business is based. I find what I need and order if the price is right. If he would have just explained his situation everything would have been fine. Instead, he decided to berate a customer, and use the disaster as an excuse to do it! I understand his stress given the situation, but that's all the more reason NOT to contact and talk badly to a customer! He needs to be thankful he is alive and humbled by what can be taken away in the blink of an eye! I only hope he has not suffered worse loss at this time. Nature proves time and time again who's really in control! Now I'm sure this is a dependable business and I would have no problem using them again had it not been for the phone call. That call is what I'm reviewing. This caller is who gets the rating of 1 star! It truly was an unacceptable experience with unreasonable and rude conduct! If you have the time to respond to a review with a phone call, then you have time to post a "Catch All" email to customers explaining any delays they may experience! That gesture alone can usually defuse potential problems. If you can't handle a customer's review, then don't let yourself be reviewed. It's really too bad that this happened! Miscommunication can really make bad things worse! This was my experience and my opinion of what transpired. I hope anyone else who reads this has a better experience with this business.
