I was connected to another organization and nothing else. I don't find that this is a valuable tool.

Misleading Advertising
The program was rather misleading as the site led me to an affiliate, Accredited Debt Solutions. Also, I thought that this was a program specifically for teachers, but from what was discussed, "most first responders, ... and teachers participate in the program." The advertisement gave the impression that it was debt forgiveness rather than debt consolidation and charge-off. I just started the program, so I'll have to see how successful the program is.

I am two years into this program
I am two years into this program. They lowered my initial bill by having me default on payments and have the credit card company cut a deal with them on paying off the card at a smaller price. Please be aware this affects your credit score and during the process you won’t be able to take out a loan or get any kind of financial assistance from any bank that needs your credit history. So I won’t be able to buy the house I want until all this is settled for another 3 years.

not what i expected
It seems that part of this process is letting my accounts default. I have never been late on a payment, and I do not intend to let my accounts default. If this is a condition of engagement then I would respectfully wish to withdraw from the program before any damage is done.
