About Theedgefunder
The Edge Funder is a direct-to-funded futures prop firm built for traders who want a straightforward, transparent path to accessing capital.Unlike traditional prop firms that require traders to pass multi-phase evaluations before earning anything, The Edge Funder places traders into a funded environment from day one. There is no evaluation phase, no reset cycles, and no starting over from zero after passing a challenge. Traders are able to keep the progress they make while working toward payout eligibility. Our model is designed around consistency and risk management. Clear rules such as profit thresholds and consistency guidelines are in place to encourage sustainable trading habits rather than relying on one large trade. All rules, pricing, and account details are fully available before purchase so traders understand exactly how the accounts operate. We support multiple trading platforms including TradingView and Volumetrica, giving traders flexibility based on their preferred setup. In addition to the platform itself, traders gain access to an active community and coaching environment where questions are answered quickly and support is always available. The Edge Funder is not a get-rich-quick system. Trading requires discipline, patience, and continuous learning. Our goal is to provide traders with the structure, tools, and support needed to grow over time and become consistently profitable.
Theedgefunder (theedgefunder.com) has 149 customer reviews on Folks Told, with an average rating of 3.7 out of 5.
The payouts take longer than I would like. Support is almost non existent. I've sent a couple of emails and they don't respond. It's really hard to get help.

After reviewing our records, we have found no evidence that this reviewer has ever purchased an account, submitted a payout request, or contacted support through any of our official channels.
Claims about payout delays and unanswered support requests cannot be verified because there is no customer history associated with this review.
For transparency, our payouts are typically processed within hours, often under 2 hours, and traders are able to request payouts any day of the week unlike many other prop firms that limit payout windows. Our customer support team also responds promptly through our official support channels.
We welcome honest feedback from real traders, but misleading reviews from non-customers do not accurately represent the experience of actual users on the platform.

My major complaint is the monthly …
My major complaint is the monthly subscription service. One of the trainers even said he doesn't believe in subscriptions. I totally agree. Otherwise I would like to stack 5-10 accounts like APEX or Tradeify.
Also, I prefer to swing trade instead of daily with EOD. it would be great if we were able to leave trades over night or weekends.
It's not clear what the rules are for instant funding. What does this mean for a 150k instant account? "The daily loss limit only starts when the account balance is above the payout threshold".

Thank you for the feedback, we appreciate the honest input.
Just to clarify a few things for anyone reading, futures markets are closed on weekends, so holding trades through the weekend is not possible with futures trading in general, not just with our firm.
Regarding account stacking, we currently allow traders to hold up to 5 accounts at a time, which is in line with most firms in the industry.
As for the monthly subscription, it is only active until a payout is achieved. Once a trader reaches payout eligibility and receives a payout, the recurring subscription is removed.
The rules for instant funding accounts, including how the daily loss limit works, are also fully explained in our FAQs and help center on the website. For example, on certain account types the daily loss limit does not activate until the account is above the payout threshold balance.
We understand not every trading style or structure will fit every trader, but we appreciate the feedback and will continue working to improve clarity wherever possible.

Should have looked at reviews first
Should have looked at reviews first. This supposedly is not a challenge and the only way to blow the account is when it gets down to zero but three days in my account was blown. I still don't know why. The supposed support hasn't answered yet. The reset is another $500. I don't think so! This was such a waste of time and money. Don't go in unless your strategy is already perfect.

Thank you for the feedback, we understand your frustration.
Just to clarify, the accounts are direct-to-funded, meaning there is no evaluation phase, but they still operate with defined risk limits. Accounts can be closed if those limits are hit, which is outlined in the rules before trading.
Regarding support, we do respond to all inquiries, though response times can vary depending on volume. We’re always working to improve response times and make sure traders get the help they need.
Reset fees and subscription details are also listed upfront before purchase so traders can fully understand the structure before getting started.
Trading requires both strategy and risk management, and while our model may not fit every trader, many are able to operate within these rules successfully.
If you’d like, our support team can revisit your case and make sure everything was addressed properly.

Study the rules religiously or else
You need to make sure you understand all the rules/chalenges before buying in. I put My Self in a unrecoverable position. I had a trade hit 10k profit in 2 minutes and it pushed my payout target from $6,000 to $53,000. If I continued with the subscription I would need 3+ months of perfect $1200 trading days to reach the new payout. If I reset the account i would be charged $400 and still be charged the monthly subscription of $400. That's 800 bucks in less than a week. I messed up and they can not help me so I have to abandon the account and all that profit.

Thank you for sharing your experience.
Just to clarify, the profit target does not jump to those levels. What you’re seeing is the consistency rule in effect. When a single trading day makes up too large of your total profit, additional profit is required so that one day does not exceed the allowed percentage. This can make it feel like the target has increased significantly, but it’s actually balancing out that one large day.
For example, a $10K day on a $100K account would require additional consistent profit days so that it fits within the rule. This is designed to encourage steady trading rather than relying on one oversized trade.
All of this is outlined in the rules before purchase so traders can understand how to manage position sizing and avoid situations like this.
We understand that situation can be frustrating, especially after a strong trade. If you’d like, our support team can walk through your account with you and show exactly what happened.

Average overall, one big advantage if you can catch the offer
For me the fact that they recently offered accounts with 0 drawdown, 0 daily loss it's unheard of so far, at least until payout threshold is reached, and one can really benefit from this, even if only to learn how to trade (with a potential payout).
True the prices are a bit high, but not that bad, similar to others in the industry.
Something they advertise is that the prop firm is done by traders for trades, i think this is not fully accurate, there are many restrictive rules.
I suggest remove the consistency rule or at least have it at 40%-50%, one might have a fantastic day with excellent profits and several average days. Also one cannot fully take advantage of trending days to maximise profits + 7 days to take a payout is quite long.
Second the daily loss limits are very low 2%, for 150k account at least 4% is ideal, so one can take advantage of the bigger positions. Also you have the daily drawdown, this is a big issue for many traders, just remove it. Since when BE means a lost trade?
Also 7 days to get 50% payout total very very low, and 90% only after 4 payouts, very, very restrictive and challenging.
I do not see any huge advantage from other prop firms that offer funded accounts, nor in price or rules.
I agree if one is in the inner circle might learn some good strategies, however the membership is quite costly.
If you really made this for traders and you want to give back, you have to offer more flexibility.

Thank you for taking the time to share detailed feedback, we appreciate it.
You brought up some valid points and suggestions. Our goal with the rules, including consistency and risk limits, is to promote sustainable trading and protect accounts from being blown too quickly. While it may feel restrictive at times, the structure is designed to reward consistency rather than relying on a few large days.
Regarding pricing and structure, we aim to stay competitive with the industry while offering instant funding. One of the key differences is that traders are able to keep the profits they make as they work toward the payout threshold, rather than going through an evaluation phase and starting over from zero.
We understand that every trader has a different style, and not every model will be a perfect fit for everyone. Feedback like this is helpful as we continue to refine and improve the experience.
We appreciate you giving The Edge Funder a try.

I’m giving 3 stars only because of…
I’m giving 3 stars only because of account prices I feel are like a tad bit high for the sizes and the daily max limit I feel it too low but other than that I like it.

Thank you for the feedback, we appreciate it.
We understand pricing and limits can feel different depending on your trading style. Our goal is to balance the structure in a way that allows traders to stay active while also maintaining proper risk management across accounts.
It’s also important to keep in mind that we operate as an instant funding prop firm. When you compare pricing across the industry, including activation fees, the overall cost is not much different. The key difference is with our model, you’re able to keep the profits you make as you work toward the payout threshold. With many other firms, you’re required to pass an evaluation first and then start over from zero.
We’re glad to hear you’ve had a positive experience overall, and we’ll continue working on improving where we can.

I signed up to the cheapest option $25k…
I signed up to the cheapest option $25k account recently. I blew my account as it went past $1k loss after less than a week trading which was my own fault for not putting a stop loss on my last trade. 7 trading days making between $150-300 max per day to pass. I learnt it's better to pass the trading days at closer to minimum amount. Theres also the profit target of $1500 that needs to be reached before eligible for payouts of anything over that amount but atleast $150 per withdrawal x 4 times. If you lose some trades than the profit target takes longer to reach because you can't go over $300 profit per day and if you do go over the profit target increases by hundreds each time. I went over by $70 and it pushed the profit target up to $1700. I'm not sure if its reachable due to some loses and as you can see there's currently no other reviews here so we wouldn't know. The website is only 9 months old yet no reviews. Is it trustworthy? I'm not sure if I want to spend another few hundred on a new account to find out then blow it again or find it hard to reach that profit target total due to being limited to the daily profit target and some loses along the way.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and for being honest about what happened with the account.
Just to clarify one point for anyone reading, the profit target itself does not increase. What can happen is if a trader has a very large single profitable day, the consistency rule may require additional profit days so that one day does not make up more than the allowed percentage of the total profit. This is designed to encourage consistent trading rather than relying on one oversized trade.
All rules, including the consistency rule and payout requirements, are listed on the website before purchase so traders can review them in advance. Many traders reach the targets while staying within those parameters by keeping their profitable days relatively consistent.
We appreciate you giving the platform a try and wish you the best with your trading moving forward.
