We drove to Lima, OH to meet with Michelle Snyder about a VA construction loan and she did not disappoint! She was awesome from start to finish, contacted our builder and everything went pretty smooth. We closed on our loan in about 6 weeks and our builder should be starting soon. We highly recommend Michelle Snyder for your construction loan or anything else. Very professional and took time to answer our questions.

This banking staff didn't have the decency to call me back after 40 days of waiting for an answer #1 Smyers 2 Eric Tanski ,3 Jason Lewis, All my information was sent and I would like it to be returned. They showed this veteran no class at all.

I agreed to discuss numbers on a possible refinance with FSB but made no commitment to a loan. They reached out to me and requested a deposit for an appraisal and this is where i screwed up I gave it to them. I decided not to go with the loan, when the appraiser reached out i informed them the service was no longer needed. No services were provided by the appraiser or FSB. After a few weeks i reached out because the appraisal fee had not been refunded the loan officer confirmed the refund was being processed and i would have it in a few days. After a month and a half no refund came through I tried to reach out the loan officer Joshua Vazquez, his supervisor and the Vice President Travis Turner all 3 are screening my calls and will not respond to my texts. This bank targets veterans with VA loans and steals there money.

The worst, do not trust them. They lack communication and lie to you.

This bank has poor customer service. Can’t get people on the phone. Was charged for an appraisal that I never got. But someone who answered the phone said that was part of the process. They Charge an appraisal fee even if you don’t get that appraisal. And they are clearly ok with scamming people. Run don’t walk from this bank.

For those looking to get a CD with them, please be aware that even if they have competitive rates, when your CD matures the ONLY way they offer to get your funds returned is by check. Yes they write you a check and send it to you via us mail. That is even if you have been having your interest sent to the funding account every month. This is a HUGE hassle, and after managing CD's for a good 6 or 7 years this is the first time where I could not just get balance returned. This is 2026, and this seems like a way they get to float your money for another few weeks, and feels like you have fallen into a time warp and its back to the 1980's. So I guess if you live close to a branch and can pick up your own check it won't be an issue, but sending such a large amount via US mail is RIDICULOUS. You have been warned P.S. I wanted to add a note stating that the bank customer service team has been VERY helpful, and in the end I was able to buy a fed ex label and have it sent to them and they are using that. So I really appreciate they did that for me. But I wish they would change this corporate policy...as is I will get a bank check and have to deposit that, then transfer to someplace where I fund my CDs. Up to now and for the last probably 6 or 7 years plus every cd I had that came to term on my say so, just returned the funds electronically to the funding source a verified bank where the monthly interest is sent. This is 2026 and to have the only option a paper check going via regular mail, is just not cool.

I worked with two offices, trying to secure a land/property loan for a mobile home. The first guy wanted a minimum of 10% down FHA loan… after I had told him I only wanted to put 5% down. My credit is stellar at 825 and plenty cash in the back to back 1015 or even 20% down. I couldn’t get the terms worked out with that guy and the person I was buying a mobile home from.. I was sent to another office where they said they could get it done for me.. with all the information in her hands they couldn’t complete funding my loan within two weeks. It honestly took them that long to tell me my debt to income would be too high with this loan. Just FYI, I have preapproval letters from two banks for the same amount and the 5% down terms…. These people are a waste of time and truly unprofessional.

I am a disabled veteran who made the mistake of using The Federal Savings Bank. I should have left after their incompetence screwed up my credits scores telling the lie you get two non paying months. After doing as I was told my credit score dropped drastically and it cost me in every financial dealing I had from credit cards to future loans. Second after numerous promises they sold my mortgage not once but twice and their approved managers cost me over $10,000 in lost disability payments. They continue to harass you with “you are eligible for new benefit's” calls 4-5 daily and never stop. The bank officers have no loyalty to customers and refuse to even communicate with their own staff much less you. If they call RUN AS FAR AS YOU CAN AWAY FROM THEM!!! The are running a serious scam.
