Where it started:Rocky changedeverything andI never set out to start a dog food company. My husky Rocky had the worst stomach on the planet. Years of vet visits, prescription diets, and hundreds spent on premium food brands. We tried everything. Nothing worked. So I decided to build it myself. 36 recipe iterations. Countless hours with vets and nutritionists. All chasing one question: what’s the best food we could possibly make for a dog? When we finally got it right, Rocky was the proof. He hasn't been sick in over 18 months. He runs three miles with me every morning. That's the standard every Happy Howl bowl is held to. Nothing less.Colin Buckley– Founder

My Cockapoo Archie started on Happy Howl 2 weeks ago. So far he’s loving it. Not a big fan of the packaging but appreciate that it doesn’t require refrigeration (before opening). His bowel movements are now regular and he appears to be tolerating the food well (no itching or vomiting).

We’re so happy to hear that Archie is loving his Happy Howl meals and that he’s feeling great, regular digestion and no itching are wonderful signs! Thank you for sharing your honest feedback about the packaging as well. We truly appreciate it and are always looking for ways to make mealtime even easier for pet parents. Give Archie some extra belly rubs from all of us at Happy Howl!

I was curious as to why the nutritional values weren't listed in any of the advertising so I purchased the $29. Sample pack that said it would make 6 meals. When it arrived it was 3 small containers with 14.6 oz. each. The nutrition panel is a bit of a shock. They seem to be the min. values for an adult 70 pound dog. I feel the cost is likely prohibitive to feed at such minimal standards. My almost 3 yr. old. 15 lb Pomsky took a couple of bites of the Turkey recipe walked away and didn't return. That was a week ago. Since it is non-returnable or refundable, last night I opened the beef stew. To my surprise, she did eat it but I wouldn't feel good about feeding this daily, due to the low protein levels and filler carbs from rice and plain potatoes. I have been making her meals since she arrived at 14 weeks and was looking for alternatives for easy travel. I believe if you order a quantity you might get the price down to make it worthwhile to have in emergencies or for travel back-up. There is little doubt this pup food is better than any kibble on the market, but for those of us who are already entrenched in creating healthy meals, it is a step down.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and detailed review. We truly appreciate your feedback. We completely understand your concerns regarding nutrition transparency and value, and we’re always happy to provide full nutritional information for each recipe upon request. Our meals are formulated to meet AAFCO standards for adult maintenance, with balanced protein, carbs, and fats to ensure optimal digestion and long-term health, even for pups with sensitive systems. That said, we know every dog and diet philosophy is unique, and it sounds like you’re doing an incredible job handcrafting meals for your Pomsky. We’re glad to hear your pup enjoyed the beef recipe, and your feedback about portion size, cost, and protein content is invaluable as we continue improving our recipes. If you’d like, our team would be happy to share more details on the complete nutrient breakdown or suggest recipes better suited for your pup’s needs. Please reach out anytime at [email protected], we’d love to help!

I can’t say anything positive or negative about Happy Howl. The only thing I can say is my dog won’t eat it. I’ll try another flavor but I suspect my order will be heading towards a local landfill.

I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt appreciation for Happy Howl and the exceptional products they offer to pet owners like me. My two dogs are absolutely obsessed with Happy Howl! I always choose the variety pack to provide them with a delightful range of flavors and meats. The aroma is so enticing that it could easily be mistaken for human food, and the ingredients—real vegetables, rice, and other flavorful components—are top-notch. This product truly stands out in the market, and I can't thank you enough for creating such a high-quality option for our two dog "kids!" Zena and Jade enthusiastically say, "Woof, woof!"
