You must have purchased the Dwarf Gouramis from another vendor because we have no record of you purchasing them from us. Hi Tracy; We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and confusion regarding your order. We strive to ensure every order is accurate, and we believe the problem arose when we were communicating with two different people on your end. We had communicated that we were out of stock on the Bumblebee Catfish in your order and were instructed to ship the order anyway without them. We then issued a refund for the catfish. Per our policy, we do not ship out of stock items at a later date when our inventory is replenished without applying a shipping charge. This is typically a refund scenario. We’re sorry you were disappointed in our policy, communications and the outcome. We do hope you are pleased with the rest of the fish in your order and hope you will consider us again in the future. Your feedback helps us improve, and we truly value your business.

Hello Carolyn; Thank you for your feedback. We deeply regret the losses you experienced and appreciate you bringing this to our attention. After reviewing your order and communication with us, prior to receiving your review we were unaware that additional fish beyond the Oscars perished since you had only discussed the Oscars in your email. We sincerely apologize for any frustration or disappointment you’ve experienced. Regarding your concerns about compensation, our policy states that we will send replacements and cover the cost of shipping only when there is a need to replace all of the fish in an order. We understood at the time of our discussions, that it was only the Oscars that perished and we provided a refund per our policy. We believed it would compensate you for the loss and didn’t pursue anything with FedEx as we believed that the shipping fee you provided covered the cost of the other 30+ fish you had ordered and we thought were fully acclimated. Additionally, FedEx’s claims process limits reimbursement to shipping costs rather than any product value. In the end, we thought we had found a resolution that balanced our policies and FedEx policies with your recent experience. We are very sorry this was your experience with us. We wish you’d notified us earlier about the other perished fish and simply provided photos as you did for the Oscars. Thank you for your candid feedback—it helps us identify the challenges we face with carriers and potential ways we can address them. We would like the opportunity to serve you again in the future and hope you will give us another try.
