Joining The Novelry has changed everything. I was plagued by self doubt, writing sporadically, drifting with no plan or sense of purpose. The 90 Days, The Classic and The Editing Course changed that. I'm home.

Everyone has a story to tell, but few do it. Everyone has dreams, but few realize them. People look at a novel and tell themselves that they can write one, but the thing they lack is a plan, a roadmap to show them how to achieve this. That is what The Novelry does. It gives you the roadmap to achieve what you have always wanted to do. You are shown how to get the words on paper. You learn what works and what doesn’t work. You study examples from the masters. You learn by doing. And all of this happens in a positive, supporting environment, both from your peers, and especially from Louise. The lady can write, for sure, but she can also teach. If you want to write that novel, there is no better choice. I give it my highest recommendation.

Online courses are my jam. But I got more than I bargained for with The Novelry. Louise Dean, a prize-winning literary author, provides loads of content, instruction, and ideas, and serves it all up in a 90-day journey in novel writing (there is also a 45-day Classics course and an Editing course). Participants are able to log-in daily to get the lesson, and each lesson gives guidance and support, just when it's needed. She uses 20th and 21st Century texts from the canon of modern and contemporary literature: I knew I was in the right place when Gatsby and Disgrace and Notes on a Scandal were all listed as model novels. But the best part is the one-on-one coaching with Louise and the online community of fellow writers. Here is your virtual writing group to critique your work, give insight into the process, and share a laugh to buoy your spirits. Writing is lonely work and The Novelry makes it much less so.

I'd had an idea for a novel in my head for ages but I simply didn't know how to get started - too many ideas, too many possible plots and themes, it all got a bit overwhelming when I ventured to make a start. Luckily I came across The Novelry and the Classic Course. Not only did the content intrigue me, but the course also focused on the genre I was dreaming of writing - fantasy. From the very start of the course, I was hooked. I really love Louise's approach to teaching and mentoring - I love that you can learn from someone who's trodden the path, been there before you and is so open to share her experience and knowledge with a great combination of down-to-earth humour and razor-sharp insight. Each online lesson is beautifully presented on an eye-catching and engaging platform. I've now completed the Classic which re-introduced me to the great classics of my childhood seen through a different light and, most importantly, it also got me to a place where I'm now more confident about my story, my secondary world (the world building phase was amazing), my characters and my plot. So much so that I'm now enrolled on the 90 Day Course because I simply can't wait to start writing that novel.

I’ve taken lots of writing courses and have an MA in Creative Writing, and The Novelry is the one that taught me how to write a novel all the way to the end. I have acquired a daily writing habit that will never desert me. I wrote a Novel in Ninety days and then set it aside for a better idea. One year later, with the help of the Classic Course and the editing course, I had a polished final draft. The Novelry introduced me to my agent, and she hopes to submit it to publishers before the end of this year. Finally, my long-held dream of being a ‘real’ writer looks like it just might come true. I could not have done it without The Novelry, the wonderful Louise Dean, and the incredibly supportive Novelry community.

I was wary of spending any more time and money on writing courses, and had determined to knuckle down and write my novel, without much success. The Novel in 90 Days is the best and only course I actually needed. This is an exceptional course and extraordinary online community that has transformed my writing life and seems to have greatly increased the odds of literary success. it has enabled me to complete the first draft of my novel, which had eluded me for ten years. I have learned to incorporate writing into my daily life, and can now officially call myself a writer. One of the great elements is witnessing other writers develop and complete their novels at The Novelry, making you realise what is possible. The courses are inspiring and the goals are achievable. I can't believe I am finally one of those people who have written a full first draft. Don't hesitate to let The Novelry help you to finally write your novel.

The Novelry has changed my life. The wisdom, generosity and supportive, nurturing nature of its creator, Louise Dean, has made my dream of becoming a novelist look like it might actually come true. In addition, the sense of community and camaraderie she has fostered amongst her members means you are never alone. Join now. I mean NOW!

Amazing courses to get would-be writers across the finishing lines of their novels! After spending six years thinking about and occasionally writing a novel, I wrote one in under 90 days with the Novelry. Louise and the other writers are a fabulous support network. Highly recommended!
