I did not like the rushed service we received and I know the prices offered were bogus for the quality of car we brought in per the man who made the offer. It was my daughter’s car so she made the decision to sell. My uncle trades cars and buys them same as your company and I know he will make way more on the car then he offered.. your company is nothing but a pawn shop for cars but acts on the pretense that you offer realistic prices for cars.

Do not purchase an electric vehicle form this seller. The information we found stated the vehicle had a large battery pack, and this was confirmed by the salesman, not once, but twice. We found the vehicle was priced fairly with a large battery pack. After taking delivery of the vehicle we found the vehicle had the standard battery pack. Thiscar made no effort to make things right. They state they do not disclose battery pack type, or mile ranges for EV's. If you see different, do not trust what is shown unless you are in the vehicle checking the features on the display.

The car owner's daughter brought ID, Power of Attorney, car title and signed release of liens as previously instructed by employee. At the sale, she was required to travel several miles to obtain car owner's written acknowledgement for the sale, an additional requirement showing distrust which was unrequired for a daughter helping her invaled father for whom she had legal authorization.

I assure you there was no distrust here .... we are at the mercy of the State of Texas, who requires that we follow their strict guidance in order to transfer ownership of a vehicle. In order to protect the legal owner of the vehicle (the Father in this case) their requirements are quite lengthy and very detailed, as one would expect. We appreciate you working through it and are glad we were able to help in the end.

WATCH OUT!!!! I gave them my car. The "buying" process took longer than they promised - they were very understaffed but the REAL problem is with the "paying" process. It has been the better part of a week since I left my car with them and the bank has still not been able to verify the funds and clear the check. RE: reply #1 I was at the This Car buying center on Monday Aug 11 not on a Friday. My bank told me they could not clear the funds with your bank on the following Friday. This Car staff was not helpful at this point. ALSO, had I known this would be such an issue I would have taken the check to your bank as I was told by the staff on 8/11 was the only other option. However, Mr Barnes told me during our phone conversation that This Car would not "push the button" to release the money for at least 2 days after the "purchase" so I would have driven across Houston on the advice of This Car staff only to have been frustrated. I can only be grateful that I did not need the money immediately! If you need the money right away - go somewhere else!

HI Mrs Brown. The check we gave you cleared our bank four days after you received it, and two of those days were Saturday and Sunday. You sold it to us Friday, and the funds were pulled from our account on Tuesday morning. The issue/delay you experienced is due to YOUR bank holding onto the money once they pulled it from our account. I will email you the documentation showing the dates and timeline. It is unfortunate that the banks do it that way, I agree. Thank you for choosing to do business with THIScar and for allowing us to clear this up.

DO NOT buy an EV from them if you want the $4000 used electric vehicle federal tax credit. They will tell you it's your responsibility to claim it on your taxes, but that is NOT correct. Dealer has to submit VIN to IRS within 3 days of purchase and provide buyer with form 15400 Clean Vehicle Seller Report or you loose the ability to claim IRS rebate. Unacceptable that they either do not understand the used car credit (it's been around for almost 2 years now) and are misinforming buyers or they are just plain lying to buyers. Both are unethical business practices.

Very unpleasant experience. It was a major bait and switch car sale. I wish I backed out of the sale, but they already had my money. My car ended up being a lemon, and they wouldn’t let me return it. So disappointed in thiscar.

Stop pretending to have cars to sell. You get whatever junk other dealerships have collecting rust on their lot to mark up and blindly ship to someone. The nicer cars that are advertised on the website are never available which is why they do the bait and switch last minute after collecting the deposit. Listen to the sales pitch on the phone closely and you will know. I've never seen such poorly executed failed attempt at being in the car industry. Don't bother with finance either. No real banks touch them because they have no inventory so the risk is too high so naturally the interest rates are insane and nobody will pick up the deal. Go where they actually sell cars and have real finance that get your deal done. Not this scam. I mean thiscar.

The five star reviews you mention are actually verified by TrustPilot(notice the word "verified" next to the star rating), but this review is unverified.
