My daughter gets her lessons done. We have to wait for it to be graded to move on. I get that. However, I don't get an update when it's graded to let me know that she can get back on and do her next lesson.

Hi Bill, You should be getting feedback emails when feedback opens up, but if you are not, you can always expect feedback 23-24 business hours after a submission has been made. If you have not been getting these notifications, please check your spam folder. If you need us to check something for you, please contact support at [email protected].

Super helpful with children. They are motivated!!!

Hi Constanza, Motivating kids to want to write, and to feel like they CAN write, is a huge factor in how well they write. I am so glad that our courses are helping your young writers!
Jennifer
The program is awful. The parent report lists everything on one long page, not per assignment. And once a teacher has sent feedback you can't figure out what is the feedback for which submitted assignment, so I can never make sense of what my son's feedback is. Everything my son writes is sent back constantly, even the rough drafts are sent back multiple times meaning there's absolutely no way my son can finish the program within 8 weeks. I tried talking to my son's teacher, but that also was a waste of time as she ignored most of what I tried to tell her and she said she could get the course extended for 1 week or I could simply let the credit expire. I will not use this again, it feels discombobulated, there's no real way to talk to the "teacher" and parent's can't actually get a good feeling of how their child is doing. On top of that, for writer's like my son, who struggle to write anything at all having everything sent back to be redone is deflating and defeating.

Hi Jennifer, We are so sorry to hear that you did not have a good experience with the course. As an online course, it is not for everyone, but most families like the personalized feedback that is provided. The student report that is printable from the parent page is really intended more as a summary of what the student has done, but each of the actual assignments has a place to view teacher feedback (which is usually in a different color so that it is easier to differentiate between the student's work and the teacher's feedback). Student submissions can be accessed from within the student login, and can be copied into a word document for easy printing if you want to save some of his work. Revisions are where the real learning takes place, and our teachers aim to get the most out of their students while trying to be constructive and motivating. Giving a final grade on a first attempt (even on the rough drafts) does not give a student the opportunity to reach their true writing potential.

I was having difficulty to teach my son who has mild ASD. But with Time4Writing, he becomes more motivated to write. This course really make my job easier as a homeschooling mom.

Hi Aznani, We hear this from a lot of parents. It is our pleasure to help teach students the basics, which will help boost their confidence and help with motivation!

I think its dumb that we sre forced to review before we even try
Reply from Time4WritingMay 6, 2019
Hi Chelsie, Reviews are entirely voluntary; we place the link to make it easy for you to locate, but they are certainly not mandatory. All you need to do is enroll your student into a course, and he or she will be able to begin immediately. If you have any questions about how this works, please contact [email protected], or call us at 855-771-0915.

The site navigation is cumbersome for the student. Maybe we'll get better with it as time goes on. Too early to say anything more.
