Bought for peace of mind on my vehicle. Had toco for 9 months and needed a repair done. They denied the claim because toco said that Lincoln knew the problem existed. So I had to pay for repair. Toco is useless and a waste of money

Toco understands how disappointing it can be when a vehicle repair concern does not result in the outcome you were hoping for. Toco thoroughly reviews every claim based on the terms of the agreement and the information provided during the claims process.
Toco's records reflect that the team remained engaged throughout your experience and continued working with you after your concerns were raised. Toco also made accommodations in an effort to address your dissatisfaction and retain your business.
While it is clear that we did not meet your expectations, we appreciate the opportunity to have served you and thank you for your feedback. Customer feedback helps Toco continue improving both the customer experience and the claims process.

Do not deal with Toko warranty, not a reputable stand-up company. They are thieves and liars.
If I could give them -1000 stars I would they are not a reputable company. They don’t cover components that the salesman when you’re being sold the policy tells you that’s covered you have to read the fine print so extremely important. This company is a POS stay very far away. Do not give them your money. I paid faithfully for two years and when I had mechanical breakdowns, they did not cover it. I say again stay very, very far away from this company, they bamboozled me. They lied to me. They are not a reputable company at all costs. Do not use them for your car warranty and anybody that’s reading this review. This is accurate and true warranty statement from an owner of a Togo warranty. They did not cover items that should have been covered. I canceled my policy and they still took money out be very leery. Do not buy this warranty. Stay away. I repeat stay away.

REIMBURSEMENT (You will NEVER get it)
I have been a Toco customer since November 2021 with multiple vehicles, and I am extremely disappointed with the outcome of my first reimbursement claim. I own six vehicles, three of which are covered by Toco. My local service provider, who services all my vehicles, mistakenly provided the wrong mileage over the phone—quoting the mileage of my Kia Optima instead of my QX56. Based on that incorrect mileage, the rack and pinion and wheel bearing issues were considered ineligible for coverage.
However, when I picked up my QX56, the actual mileage was around 124,700, which would have qualified for coverage under my Toco plan. I explained the situation thoroughly, and Toco advised me to submit documentation for reimbursement. Each time I called, I was reminded of the $100 deductible and the requirement to call before repairs—something I have always done except in this instance due to the mileage discrepancy.
I emailed all documents with an explanation on 11-19-2025, and Toco entered them into my portal on 11-25-2025. Today, I was told the claim was denied because Toco could not inspect the issue prior to repair and considered it a high-cost repair. Aidan informed me he was able to get approval for only a $500 reimbursement out of the $2,135 total.
This repair was diagnosed by a certified dealer, and it is well-known that rack and pinion and wheel bearing failures commonly occur around 124,000 miles—regardless of whether Toco inspected it beforehand. I pay $269.81 per month, totaling $12,950.88 over four years, and this is the first claim I have ever filed for reimbursement and the first time I have not followed the precise steps of my contract (again due to the discrepancy). This decision feels unfair and dismissive of both my loyalty and the clear circumstances of the mistake.

Thank you for your message — and more importantly, for being a valued Toco customer since 2021. We appreciate your loyalty and the trust you've placed in us to protect multiple vehicles over the years.
We understand how frustrating it must be to invest in coverage, file your first claim, and not receive the outcome you expected. That’s never how we want a loyal customer to feel.
When it comes to repair coverage, one of the most critical requirements in our contract is that all claims must be called in before any work is done. This step isn't just procedural — it gives us the opportunity to assess the situation properly, authorize the claim, and ensure fairness for everyone involved. Without that opportunity, we lose our ability to perform due diligence.
Think of it like auto accident insurance: if someone is in a wreck, gets their vehicle fixed, and then sends the bill to their insurer, the claim is almost always denied — not because the damage wasn’t real, but because the insurer didn’t have a chance to inspect, verify, and authorize the repair in advance. The same principle applies here.
While our claims protocols (such as pre-repair authorization and inspection for high-cost items) are in place to protect all parties and ensure fairness, we agree that this situation warrants a closer look — particularly given your history with us and the documentation you've already provided. We’d like to escalate this internally for an additional review and agent will be reaching out to you.

Horrible
I submitted a receipt for an oil change reimbursement on May 23, 2025 and they told me it would take 4-6 weeks for me to receive that check. When I called after 6 weeks they told me the reimbursement was never processed but that they would go ahead and do that and send me a check. I waited another 6 weeks and called again and was told I needed to wait another couple weeks, so I did. Once again I called and was told the reimbursement check had been placed on hold but that it would be processed right away and would arrive in 4 weeks. 6 weeks later I called AGAIN (it’s now September 8) and was just told that my check is scheduled for delivery on October 10
That’s almost 5 MONTHS after I submitted my receipt, and several times being told that it was on its way.
I’m glad I never had to submit a claim for something bigger than an oil change, I wouldn’t trust this company to do anything correctly or on time.

{Update} Unfair Claim Assessment and Poor Customer Serviceeen a loyal customer of Toco…
I have been a loyal customer of Toco Warranty for five years, paying monthly premiums of $97 without fail. At the start of my contract, my mileage was 137,000 miles. Recently, I filed a claim for a transmission repair for my 2003 Honda Accord EX, which now has less than 184,000 miles. The repair was assessed by Tiretown and Muffler Repair Shop on South Monroe Street in Tallahassee, FL, an excellent local repair shop that has been in business for over 30 years and is my trusted expert on my Honda. Despite their recommendation for a re-manufactured transmission, Toco Warranty offered only $1,375 against the repair shop's quote of $5,600. This offer is inconsistent with the provisions of my contract and does not reflect the true cost of the necessary repair.
{Update as of 04/08/2025}
According to my contract, the lowest cost to Toco Warranty should be capped at $15,000 or the car's value for repair costs. My Honda Accord is valued between $2,675 to $6,300 according to NADA Used Car Guide (the independent source listed on their website), yet Toco Warranty's representative, Travis, intentionally low-balled the offer at $1,375. This leaves a mystery that even Scooby-Doo couldn't solve, as to who would be financially responsible for the balance of $4,400. With the looming international tariff disputes, the cost of car parts is expected to rise, making this issue even more critical.
As a loyal customer who has paid monthly premiums for five years without filing any claims, despite having opportunities to do so for repairs such as the water pump and catalytic converter, I find this decision deeply unfair. Given my history, I believe I should be entitled to some grace in paying for the repairs, minus the $100 deductible, or at the very least, the balance of $3,559, which is using the average car value of KBB and NADA.
I rely heavily on my vehicle for daily transportation and have been forced to depend on others for rides to and from work. Having experienced the challenges of public transportation for many years, I am not trying to go back to that situation. The stress and worry of potentially losing my reliable transportation are overwhelming. I urge Toco Warranty to reconsider their offer and prioritize customer loyalty over profits. Your support in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

First, thank you for being a loyal Toco customer for the past five years. We truly value long-standing relationships like yours, and we're very sorry to hear about your recent experience with your transmission repair claim.
We’d love the opportunity to take a second look at your claim. We will have a supervisor reach out to you for further assistance.
We understand how important your vehicle is to your daily life, and we recognize how frustrating it must be to feel that your coverage fell short when you needed it most. We’re also grateful you’ve maintained your policy consistently and have trusted us without filing prior claims.
Regarding the claim amount: Toco plans cover repairs based on the terms outlined in your contract, which includes labor and part allowances that align with industry standards for fair and reasonable pricing. In some cases, especially with older vehicles or specialty parts, there can be a gap between what’s covered and the estimates provided by certain repair shops. We absolutely recognize how this can cause confusion and frustration, especially when you have a trusted mechanic providing a higher quote.

Trying to get out of repairing my van
I have a minivan that has a warranty with this company. There is something very wrong with the vehicle. It is scary to drive at the moment. It was at an approved shop but Toco wants it to go to another place. I cannot get an appointment for over a month. I need to be able to drive 100 miles later this week for an appointment. Toco will not help in anyway with the cost of a rental since they closed the claim once I got it from the shop it was originally brought to. They are going out of their way to not take care of this issue with the van. I am worried about driving the vehicle. I am unable to go 1 month without a vehicle. According to Aidan, there is nothing they can do.

We’re sorry to hear about your frustration and completely understand how stressful it can be to be without a reliable vehicle. Our goal is always to ensure that covered repairs are handled as smoothly as possible while following the terms of the contract.
In some cases, repairs may need to be evaluated at a different facility to ensure accuracy and proper diagnosis. We understand that waiting for an appointment can be inconvenient, and we regret any delays you’re experiencing. Regarding rental coverage, we follow the guidelines outlined in the service contract, but we’d be happy to review your situation again to see if there are any possible solutions.
Please reach out to us at 855.298.8626 so we can take another look and see how we can assist. We truly value your business and want to help get you back on the road as soon as possible.

As a first time user
As a first time user , WOW!!! What a nightmare!! Been sitting here for hours at Pep Boys for Hours trying to get a claim approved for a simple Tire Pressure Sensor!! All I am getting is the run around from the claims dept and the adjuster!! And no approval even though it's covered part!! How many more hours do I need to sit here for approval on a Simple Tire Pressure Sensor!! Now the Claims adjuster needs me to leave the car for inspection!! What a joke this is!!! *****"""Update ******"On there response..I have the Warranty for over 3 months , not 2 days!! It became in full 100% effect 2 days ago. I have no control when a part goes bad. I used to have Carshield and switched to Toco , now I am afraid if I am going to have this much trouble on a simple part. What will happen on a major repair when I need to get it approved?

Thank you for bringing this to our attention to investigate. Toco's goal is to make the claims process as efficient and accurate as possible. Records indicate that the claim was called in for 3 TPMS sensors, 2 days into the contract becoming active, so a supervisor will reach out to you for clarity and assistance.

This company wont honor their contract with you
This company is a scam! When I bought my car I included an extended warranty since it is a Mercedes and had some 28k miles already. That warranty worked perfectly, I had to take my car 2 times to the dealer and I only had to pay my $50 deductible in every case. When the warranty expired I decided to open an account with Toco and go for its top-tier Orange plan, which has a $100 and has the most comprehensive coverage, and in my case, I had to pay $194 monthly. The surprise started when the AC compressor failed and I had to take it to the dealer. Suddenly, the Toco representative told me that the dealer 'should not charge that amount for labor' and we only cover up to this, and the dealer 'must buy this part up to this price'. I rented a car for 2 days in a nationwide company for $40/day, I don't have to specify I took the smaller/cheapest car in the lot, even though I drive a full-size SUV. I ended up paying $400 out of my pocket for the repair and they did not cover the full rent expense. This company is so cheap that the rental bill was $85 and they only covered $80. the next month the AC stopped working and I had to return to the dealer. This time, the dealer wants to replace the high line because of a leaking in its valve, Toco was notified on May 7th. On Friday 10th Toco called me to inform me that the company has 48 hours to go to the dealer, and that doesn't include the weekend days. Toco's inspector finally made it to the dealer on Wednesday, May 15th, more than 48 hours, then Aaron called me to let me know that it was not covered and 'that's what it is'. The AC high line is not included nor excluded and is in a grey area they used in their favor, I wonder how many parts are hidden that will end up not covered. This is a nonserviceable part, so to my basic mechanic knowledge, it is obvious it should be covered. That did not stop there, also they did not cover the days that I had rented a car waiting for them, which ended up being 9 days. After I decided to close my account, you have to call them and they won't let me cancel my account in that call, they would have an agent to call you and persuade you to change your mind. Then, the same Aaron called me and suddenly they could help me with the repair and the rent expenses. I did not talk about numbers because I had a firm decision to close my account, but considering they are so cheap, their coverage for this 'help'(that I am paying!) should have been a laughing number. Go for another option, if something more serious happens to your car, they won't cover it and you will be on your own
