What you said is something a lot of dog parents notice, once the skin starts feeling better, it’s easy to think the problem is fully behind them. Wow… this one hit deep. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your story like this. I know how long and exhausting that road must’ve been for you guys 💔 What you described is something we hear way too often… dog parents doing everything right, trying every option the vets throw at them apoquel, cytopoint, constant bathing, multiple supplements and still feeling like you’re just chasing symptoms instead of actually fixing anything. That gut piece you called out? That’s exactly it. When the gut gets thrown off (especially after heavy antibiotics + steroids), it can spiral into things like yeast, itching, obsessive chewing… and it becomes this nonstop cycle that’s brutal for both you and your dog. And the fact that you’ve gone from: → not sleeping more than 2 hours → constant monitoring → holding him to stop the chewing to now being able to leave the room, go on walks, and see him playing again… that’s EVERYTHING 🐶 Also not surprised he went crazy for the package 😂 coonhounds don’t miss a scent!! You’re still super early (day 8 👀), so the progress you’re seeing already is an amazing sign.
