Hi David,
We’re sorry to hear that you were dissatisfied with your experience, but we want to clarify several important points in your review so that readers have an accurate understanding of what occurred.
You do have a Trifecta account, and we provided you with documentation confirming this. We shared a screenshot of your account dashboard showing the subscription, as well as the Apple Private Relay email address associated with the account. Your account was created using Apple’s “Sign in with Apple” feature. When a customer uses this option, Apple generates a Private Relay email address that conceals the customer’s personal email address from the business. This is an Apple privacy feature that Trifecta does not control.
We also explained to you how to access this account: by selecting **“Continue with Apple”** when logging in, rather than attempting to log in with your personal Gmail address. The fact that your Gmail address does not independently locate the account does not mean the account does not exist. We provided you with the information necessary to access the account and showed you the account dashboard associated with your Apple ID.
More importantly, when you first contacted us after hours on June 24th requesting cancellation, you emailed us from your Gmail account (not associated to your Trifecta account nor did that email contain any identifiable information - No name, no subscription number, no phone number, or any other identifying information that would allow our team to locate the account. We replied to that email the following business day, specifically requesting additional information so we could identify your subscription and assist with the cancellation. We did not receive a response to that message, though we do see that our email successfully landed in your inbox without bouncing back.
It is also important to distinguish between skipping deliveries and canceling a subscription. Your subscription remained active during the weeks in which deliveries were skipped. Skipping an order does not deactivate the underlying subscription, and subsequent orders can therefore be generated when the subscription resumes.
As soon as we were able to identify your account, we deactivated the subscription. We also explained that one final order had already entered processing and could not be stopped at that point.
We understand that you are unhappy with the outcome, but we cannot characterize these orders as unauthorized or as orders generated from an account that did not exist. The account did exist, we provided you with documentation identifying it, and our records show that we responded to your initial cancellation request and asked for information needed to locate the account. Unfortunately, we did not receive the requested information or a follow-up from you at that time. It was only when you emailed us this week that you provided us with your first and last name, to which we were then able to locate an account to deactivate.
We have thousands of customers who are very happy with their Trifecta experience, and we’re proud of the service and meals we provide to them. We recognize that Trifecta may not be the right fit for everyone, and we respect your decision not to continue with our service. However, we believe it is important to correct the record when statements suggest that we ignored a cancellation request, that no account existed, or that we had no way of responding to your request.
We remain committed to treating our customers fairly and transparently, and we’re always willing to address concerns directly.
