Headquartered in Tampa, Fla. and founded in 1994, UMA offers content-rich, interactive online courses as well as hands-on training at our campuses. UMA students have access to academic advising, one-on-one or group tutoring, résumé and interview coaching, job search assistance, technical support and more. UMA site has been down for 3 weeks! I called because we have no access to our financial aid ledger. A rep told me that the site was back up and to check when i am able and NO it is still not up!!!! How are we suppose to continue without knowing the financial status. This is not a good look to new students.

Every since I started school here its been an issue with financial aid. Very first disbursement was late,due to misinformation from different departments. This time, issue with system. Everything its time for disbursements something goes on. The lending institution records and disbursement amounts are different from what uma says. Its always something. Reached out to student services for help with something. I was told I would receive an email later that day and someone would call in 3 to 5 days.recieved the email a week later. This whole experience has truly been a lesson of its own. When you call regarding the issue noone has any information or can provide any updates.

started my online classes only to be ejected with no explanation. when I called eligibility back, they said it was a prior from 2011 that was stopping me from doing my classes. it was a possession charge for having a small weed pipe and a small seed. they said i need to have it expunged in order to continue. I've called a few other schools and they do not even require background checks, and the work field only looks back 7-10yrs. so the time limit has expired for it to affect me negatively. they should not allow students to start school just to pull them outfor stupid priors almost 2 decades ago! they need to do better1!

When comes to my classes n my support I don’t have an issue I am not going to lie I read MULTIPLE REVIEWS THAT UMA HOLDS UR FINANCIAL AID MONEY. Before I start I am a honors student have two classes left supposed to be done in April. For Some odd reason this school year they made me wait until February for my financial aid to come through and when I logged into my financial aid it was given in January than they broke my financial aide up into two payments one for February which took all of my money for school and the rest that I requested to offset my bills cause THAT IS WHY THEY ALLOW U TO TAKE IT OUT TO HELP WITH UR BILLS WHILE UR IN SCHOOL they are telling me I have to wait another month to get….meanwhile I graduate literally a month after they choose to release my money. Last semester when I was waiting for my financial aid I called cause one of my loans still said pending I spoke to someone and she literally cleared it and it stated approved and received the next day so that tells it all that yall have peoples payments. Than I speak to a manager by the name of Melissa, this is not my first rodeo going to school I HAVE NEVER EVER SEEN FINANCIAL AID AND LOANS GET DISTRIBUTED SEPARATELY she is going to tell me out of her mouth they only received half of the financial aid after I literally spoken to someone earlier that tried to get my money release cause I requested it for my bills and she said she couldn’t unfortunately do it cause it’s set for mar 4th which makes no sense to me at all. I’m only doing half of a semester so why is my loans and financial aid split up anyway. What saddens me is people take this money out to offset bills and yall will not help them but make is if financial aid only paid yall half why is yall bill not split into half when the funds apparently comes out. It’s a sad situation to me. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL TO ANYONE and I’m a honors student and will graduate in April.

i currently attend UMA and what i feared the most happened i read so many reviews that stated they had trouble with financial but i thought you know i will see for myself and guess what happened my financial aid was supposed to be released today and was not and i am a single mom who was relying on her refund to pay my rent i am so discouraged i think i am going to transfer schools

This school call you every day of the week. The financial aid department is a joke. I don't think they train anyone that work for them. They read from a script and tell you anything to get you off the phone. When it's time to receive your excess funds, they hold your money. The school is very expensive, and they take most of your aid anyway. Students should not have to wait to receive excess funds, when tuition has been paid.

I believe they may be reputable and possibly have great teachers. But the cost of 24k is ridiculous. I was looking into Medical billing and coding. The admissions/sales guy had me go thru a slide with him. The median pay is $53k. The cost of the class ....to make that amount in the end. Nope! Did not trust the sales guy in the end. It felt like too big of a push for the sale.

I went to this school to get an Associates degree. I was disappointed not only do i have to pay back student loans but i did not get a job in what my degree is. I have asked for help and have gotten know where. I want to be certified but know one will contact me to see what school i can go to that will certify. I have a hard time finding a job because i don't have the experience but i have the knowledge witch i guess is not good enough.
