My plumber picked up our toilet seat…

My plumber picked up our toilet seat cover that was wrapped up in plastic. He was shown the product before he left. At home 2 miles away he tried to attach the seat only to discover it was cracked. Contacted Union for a replacement approx 2 hours later. They refused on the basis that they checked the cover together with our plumber despite the fact that the crack only becomes apparent when you stretch the seat. I am angry because I had done my renovations on my house over a year and spent nearly USD4K with Union. The seat cost 36us. They have lost me forever.

First of all, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We genuinely understand how frustrating this situation must be for you, especially given the effort and investment you’ve put into your renovations. At Union Hardware, we always aim to provide products in perfect condition, which is why we ensure each item is carefully inspected and shown to the customer before it leaves our store. In this case, the toilet seat cover was checked with your plumber, and we made sure it was in good condition at that point. We completely understand that the crack became noticeable only once the seat was stretched, but it’s challenging for us to determine how the damage may have occurred after the product left the store. We truly value your business and appreciate the support you’ve given us over the past year. While we stand by our policy, we’re sorry to hear that this experience has left you feeling dissatisfied. Please know we’re here if you need anything else in the future, and we hope we can serve you better next time. Best regards, The Union Hardware Team
