Arthur here – founder of VortexHaus. You're right. If the return portal shows $0.00, that's what you should pay. Taking $9 off afterwards isn't fair, and I'm refunding it. Two fixes on our side: (1) The return portal will show the exact shipping cost before you confirm, not after. (2) Orders get a shipping label within hours, which is why we couldn't cancel by the next morning. We're making that clear at checkout so nobody else gets stuck waiting for a parcel they already wanted to send back. Neal, you’re hitting us on two fronts here: performance and trust. If you’re having to crouch and hug the ground to move anything and then on top of that you chase a $20 rebate for months and never see it, I totally get why you’d feel the blower and the company both came up short. That’s on me. We’ll make this right: either we get you into a setup that actually fits the jobs you’re trying to do or we cleanly close the loop with the rebate/refund so you’re not still thinking about this months later. I hear you on this, and you’re right: “awesome when it works but keeps popping and smoking” is not a product anyone should have to babysit, no matter how good the warranty is. Swapping unit after unit might prove we stand behind the product, but it doesn’t solve your core problem, which is having a reliable blower you trust in your rig every day. That’s on me. We’re already in the middle of a factory and QC upgrade because failures like the ones you’re describing are not rare edge cases anymore. Hi Linda, Arthur here. Founder of VortexHaus. Thank you for flagging this and I’m really glad you reached out. The Turbo Jet works with one battery ecosystem at a time: DeWalt, Makita, or Milwaukee. On product pages, customers select their battery platform so the correct unit is sent. From what I can see, your order was placed for the DeWalt version, which would explain why a Milwaukee battery isn’t fitting. That said, we clearly need to make this distinction more obvious, and I appreciate you calling it out. We’ll tighten that messaging.
