Hello!
We are sorry to hear that you have experienced these difficulties while using WayAway. We would like to shed some light on the situation.
Firstly, it seems like the booking you made had been cancelled by the airline. The thing is that the fare availability is checked twice – when you’re redirected to the partner’s website and when you pay. WayAway itself is a metasearch, which engine goes through the entire data array of the airline ticket market. This market consists of hundreds of airlines and their fares, thousands of online travel agencies, and different online booking systems with their own restrictions. So in a few hours after the carrier checks the availability of the tickets you may get the notification that they are all gone and your order is annulled. This doesn’t happen very often, though, and money always returns in such cases.
Also, there is no autofill on our website or the app, so that may be the browser feature, that’s why we recommend to always check all the passenger information before paying. A lot of airlines as well as travel agencies do charge amendment fees no matter how much time passed since the purchase. We would also like to mention that the 24-hours refund rule is valid when buying directly from the airline, otherwise an agency simply has no time to create and process the request.
As to the phone calls — currently, we do not have a call center, so could you kindly clarify who exactly were you talking to? If you are comfortable sharing some extra information so that we could double-check everything, please contact us via social media or the feedback form at the bottom of the page: https://wayaway.io/faq.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
