Great keyboard, slow shipping
It took almost a month for my order to arrive, which isn’t what I expect when paying this much for a keyboard. Also, the PCB in one of my two knight plus keyboards stopped working after only 4 years and I had to replace it at my own expense and had to supply my own labor. The keyboard itself is great, at least while it still works.

Great product with room for improvement in firmware usability
I’m really happy with the product. I backed the original Kickstarter and recently upgraded to the Crystal. The build quality feels excellent and the keyboard itself is great. I also want to add that I’ve had no issues with the company — everything from ordering to delivery has been smooth. My only real criticism is the reliance on QMK firmware. I’ve worked 25+ years in IT, so I can handle it, but it still feels unnecessary to require users to learn yet another open‑source system with very little UX design behind it. Configuring the keyboard is mostly a one‑time task, but even that forces you to dive into QMK just to make basic changes. A more user‑friendly configuration experience would make an already great product even better.

I have used this keyboard for some…
I have used this keyboard for some years now, have a few units and I think the ergonomics, after the learning curve, is great, and my typing speed became better than a regular keyboard. I agree the support is a little absent, though.

Great idea, needs some improvements
The product fills a huge gap in the keyboard market. I was struggling to choose between mechanical and natural/ergonomic keyboards. And then X-Bows came in to the picture. Has a learning curve, but once you learn to type, you are not going back. On the negative side, I read a lot of complains about support, and myself experienced switch fail after around 2 years, however, my warranty had expired, so I didn't bother. I got my own set of switches and replaced the faulty ones. If I had to change something, this would be better quality switches. I got my son a Keychron and feeling is way better (both Brown)

Hi George, Thank you for the honest 4-star review! You nailed exactly why we exist: to bridge the gap between 'Mechanical' and 'Ergonomic' so you don't have to choose one or the other. Regarding the switches: I am impressed that you did the repair yourself! You mentioned your son's Keychron feels better. We actually agreed with you that our older stock switches needed an upgrade. That is why we have switched our production line to Gateron G Pro 3.0 switches. We wanted to ensure that the stock typing experience feels smoother, more stable. Of course, the beauty of your X-Bows is that you can always swap in your own favorites (like you did!), but we are committed to making sure the default switches are top-tier moving forward. Support does not answer (Edit: received reply later)
Ordered a set of replacement keycaps. I received a package with the keycaps a couple of weeks later, but one keycap was missing. I contacted the support and asked them to send a replacement for the missing keycap and never received an answer. Tried to contact them once more, but no answer. Edit: Company contacted me two years after the review as written in the reply and sent me a complete set of keycaps. It seems that they are serious to improve their support and customer relations. I have therefore changed the rating to fours stars. Thanks a lot!
