Our guides and assistant guides were wonderful! Very knowledgeable. Our porters were working diligently behind the scenes to make sure we would get proper rest between hikes, warm water, and hot food. I would highly recommend this tour. Be sure to be specific about diet. My only criticism is regarding food. It is challenging getting anything up the mountain but food selection could have been better and less fried, more boiled, and more nutritious than mostly potatoes and flour soup. Having said that, there was always a hot meal available. I think hard boiled eggs, pasta, bean soups and dishes go a long way. Please make sure to tip ur team appropriately. They work hard for you. They do this a lot and it’s not easy one time let alone many times. Total tip should be at least $400 pp depending on size of the group - ours was 4 hikers. Cheers and be safe all.

The company is great! Their guides are excellent! We did the Kili hike via Rongai route and our guide Juma was the best!! Juma and his crew took care of us very well, fed us a lot and were more than happy to assist us with anything!! We also did a 6 day Safari after the hike. Our guide, Richard, was also excellent!! He made sure we were able to see all the big 5 of Tanzania. He gave us all the time we needed to watch the animals and also was very knowledgeable about the animals and their behaviors. I would totally recommend Juma for the hike and Richard for the Safari as guides!! The people at the camps in Serengati are amazing! Very friendly and treat you very well. Please take a bunch of dollar bills and tip them. They really deserve this. Also, the food on the entire trip (Kili climb and safari) was excellent! Now, why not 5 stars? I would have given 4.5 stars instead of 4 if it was possible. The company will try to sell you from the minute you land from their gift store next doors. They will also charge for anything extra which they could have actually included in the package price. For example, our flight was not until the afternoon, so we check out that morning and found out that that day's breakfast and lunch was not included in the package. Not sure why they wouldn't include the breakfast (or lunch) until you depart to the airport. It is things like these that irritates especially when you are on vacation. The internet is also very spotty at the hotel.

The Springlands hotel was great and the staff were among the most friendly I’ve met anywhere. My climbing of Kilimanjaro was seamless and without a single issue. Every aspect planned and executed. My guide Festo was incredible. I recommend requesting him if you’re climbing. I can’t say enough about him. He and the porters made the experience unforgettable.

I was very happy with my trip - however it was a shame my guide didnt check my equiptment well enough before the beginning of hike. I was under prepared but thought I was okay. They would have taken one look at my sleeping bag and told me it wasnt okay. Also - my guide wasnt very good at all. But joined on with Juma and his team which were amazing. I also had requested to travel in a group and was advised that there would be two others in my group. There wasnt and i was stuck on my own - LUCKILY there was some people hiking same day same route and tagged on with them. I didnt want to share the experience on my own. Other than that the porter were incredible. So much respect. And the food was amazing - very well catered for, especially since I was vegetarian. Thanks for an amazing time.

We climbed Kilimanjaro reaching Uhuru peak the 1st February 2018. We were a group of 5 ( 4 girls/ one man, all more than 55 years old) and it was fantastic!! Our guides Mmassa and James and also the rest of the team namely Bariki have done everything to permit us to enjoy one of the best ( but also hard) trips in our lives!! Thank you to all of them.- Then we had a very good resting time: with our guide Robert we had 3 days of a wonderful safari! He showed us all big 5 and lot´s of other animals and beatiful Tanzania places!! Thanks Zara Tours
