I was initially disappointed in my experience and I had to contact customer service. In an age where you usually get nothing but automated responses I actually got a personal response that was specific to the issue that I had. Greatly appreciated.

I bought a subscription while car shopping so as to have a second set of eyes on vehicle history. One of my first reports on a vehicle I was considering showed no wrecks, clean title and general good marks for the vehicle. I got the CarFax from the dealer and it showed two accidents, one with moderate to severe damage. I'm updating this review as a second car I was interested in had a severe structural accident as reported by Experian but no damage report by Zilocar. These are significant misses by Zilocar. Catching insurance claims and accident reports should be job 1 for any service.

Vehicle history providers compile data from multiple third-party databases, insurance partners, auctions, and public records, and each provider may have access to slightly different reporting sources or update timelines. Because of this, differences between reports from different services can occasionally occur, especially if certain incidents were reported to one database but not yet reflected in another at the time the report was generated. Service was ok, the user interface/dashboard was basic and not the friendly. The information shown was not always detailed and seemed to be lacking. The price was good compared to others. Would’ve given a more stars but their billing policy is a little shady. No clear indication when it expires/renews, I wrote the company the morning it expired they replied no refunds and charged me for the month

The information provided by Zilocar allowed me to "weed out" cars that I didn't need to pursue and it gave me the information needed to negotiate from a "position of power" on the cars that I wanted to pursue. I ended up negotiating a great price on a lightly used car and was able to quickly close the deal.
