I left public storage because of their constant rate hikes and disingenuous business practices. I had hoped that 10 Federal Storage would be better. As hard as this may be to believe, it's even worse. Their business model works for them, it will not work for you. Avoid this company.

I am incredibly frustrated with my experience. Trying to get assistance from this company is completely impossible. They have built a wall of automation that ensures you will never speak to a human being.Zero Customer Support: I have tried reaching out by phone, chat, and email. Every single channel leads to an endless loop of AI bots, automated responses, or dead ends. There is absolutely no way to reach a real person when you have an actual issue that needs solving.Extraneous Pricing: To make matters worse, they engage in unfair, sudden, and completely unjustified pricing adjustments. They hook you in with one rate, only to tack on extraneous fees and unexpected price hikes, knowing you can't easily reach anyone to dispute the charges.It feels like they purposefully avoid hiring human representatives so they can dodge accountability for their predatory billing practices. A completely hands-off, automated business model does not work when you leave your paying customers completely stranded.Avoid this company at all costs. They will take your money and completely ignore you.

This company bought out the locally owned storage unit I was using earlier this year. They are repugnant and evil and started MASSIVELY overcharging for the tiny storage unit that I have rented from them compared to the price I was originally paying. Trying to get in touch with customer service is useless, they are ghouls. If your storage unit has been taken over by them I recommend getting your stuff out of there as soon as possible. Absolutely miserable.

Update : they agreed to check me out and not bill me for further months. So I don't like their pricing and bait approach but they could have handled the ending much worse. So I upgraded the review from 1 to 4 star. Great offer to sign up, but there were hidden fees. Then as soon as the 2 months free (which were not free because of the hidden fees) expired, they sent me notices and over the next 6 months, 3 rent increases, so I went free was $12.99, then $29 was $42.99 but quickly turned into $20 more and then again $20. When I terminated, they did not respond until weeks later and then asked me to send a photo of the empty unit. Well, it was emptied weeks ago and I am not going to drive 5 hours to take a photo of it. In other words, rent from them but once you do, they will use all the leverage they can to get as much money from them as possible. They are bullies, every single person I talked to there, it was clear they enjoyed the power. I suspect their hiring profile says : like to bully people ? We are the place for you!

Got a unit for approx 140 bucks a month. Within a few months raised the price by 70%. AVOID THESE BAIT AND SWITCHERS. Just gave my notice. Buyer beware.

Their portal is fully automated so when a problem arises, there is no one to help waiting on the phone for hours to talk to someone who never comes.
