The first job I interviewed with I got. They only sent me to jobs that I applied for that seemed perfect for me and the family. I have worked with a lot of agencies but this one looks out for both the family and the employee. They even sent me other jobs I may have overlooked. A+

Adventure Nannies is the best. We used two different agencies and AN was by far the easier and more helpful agency to work with. There were many steps along the way that turned out more complicated than we expected and their expertise and guidance were invaluable. They helped with thinking through the kind of role we needed, helped schedule interviews, helped schedule trials, helped with agreements for trials, helped think through all sorts of contract details, and more. AN is the best.

It was so fun! I think I enjoyed the layout of last year a little better though, it felt like there were more activities going on. I liked the physical board up at mess hall vs the website. There were moments where it felt like being “inclusive” felt a little bit exclusive. I love pushing for acceptance of everyone, but many people I talked to also felt like this year they didn’t know if they belonged here :( I think maybe just having more fun activities peppered in, which promote people talking to different folks would be great!

I am grateful to have worked with Adventures Nannies the past 16 months as a Private Educator who coordinates family operations and provides child development support for a private family. My hiring timeline - first AN interview to first workday with my current family - took approximately 4 months. The collaborative, multi-step process was well-worth the required patience. Ultimately, AN furthered my career by establishing a successful partnership with my current client. AN’s interview process thoroughly vets prospective candidates to support harmonious long-term placements. My journey started with an initial face-to-face call with Deanna Douglass, a Placement Coordinator, who reviewed my resume, verified my identity with my US passport, and explained agency policies and processes. Then, all my former employers were contacted and background checks began. Past employers unavailable to speak via phone (due to career obligations, international travel, etc.) submitted authenticated letters of recommendation. I consented to extensive background checks (state, criminal, motor vehicle, etc.), passed internet and social media screenings, and submitted proof of my immunizations, current CPR-BLS licensures, and Bachelor and Master Degree transcripts. Most importantly, I prepared a meaningful, detailed profile for interested clients to explore. Another thing that sets AN apart is its post-placement support. The staff believes in my continued advancement by growing my skillsets and industry knowledge. Courtnee Jones, my Placement Manager, and Shenandoah Davis, Adventure Nannies CEO, guided my long-term success by offering tangible resources and practical work solutions throughout my first year to ensure smooth operations. They also provided me a scholarship to complete my Formator Institute Certification and attend Nanny Camp: a yearly, four-day professional development retreat for Career Caregivers.
