Unfortunately, your claims are not accurate. Our tax leadership and legal teams have thoroughly researched your account and have spoken with you directly regarding this matter several times.
We take the accuracy and integrity of our tax preparation services very seriously. After thoroughly reviewing your return, we can confirm it was prepared accurately based on the financial records you provided. You’ve since indicated that there may be additional documentation that was not provided at the time your return was prepared. We have offered to amend your return as a gesture of goodwill, however, you have not provided the new documentation.
As explained, the penalties you incurred were due to a failure on your part to make estimated tax payments for the 2023 tax year by the IRS deadline of April 15, 2024. You engaged our services in March 2024; as such, your previous CPA would not only have let you know about the estimated payment requirements, but it was also included in your 2022 tax return that the other CPA firm prepared. It is ultimately the responsibility of each taxpayer to ensure the timely payment of estimated taxes. While we are here to support our clients, we cannot be held accountable for payments that were due before the start of our engagement, nor can we make estimated payments on behalf of our clients.
Additionally, your account has been reviewed to identify any services that have yet to be fulfilled, and a refund is being processed for unused services. However, we stand by the services that have been rendered, as they were completed thoroughly and are not eligible for a refund, as we have explained.
