I found this company Google News real/ad
I found this company, AppSketiers, on a Google News real/ad. I recieved an email, and a text from them. I filled out the basic info they asked for. I set up for a call today at 1415hrs. I recieved the NDA via email. He asked if I had a job, I am currently unemployed, and when I could come up with the $495 to start, "If accepted" by their consulting team. I told him I would need 2 mths to come up with that to let go.(Yes, I understand this would be an investment) He then said they would call me back in 2mths. No date set. But wouldn't review it, until after I came up with the $500($495). This just happened today, 06-30-2026. It is 1459hrs as of right now. I ran through these reviews, well, cuz that is what I do when looking at any company to deal with. Either way, long story short....I'm not getting anything good from what I see. Sure! There are a lot of good ratings. But over the years, I've found more truth in low reviews than in reviews that just say how good they are. I found way more detail in the bad reviews than I did in any of the good reviews. They give it to third parties to do the work? They give you further charges in each phase? See, none of that was disclosed in our short conversation today. I think I will take the time to learn coding and just do this myself. A 2 star because I didn't get anything professional out of the conversation with the guy I spoke with, Jeremy. Had it been professional, there would of been a date and time set for this "call" in 2 months. But there was not. Also, he came across real dismissive with my app idea. "Well, I don't know if this is something we can do. If it would be worth it. There would be a lot of coding going into it. It would take some time, IF it evens get accepted". So I was not giving any confidence in the guy. Almost like he was blowing me off because I am currently unemployed. I am a Vet. This is my honest first encounter with AppSkeptiers. While my experience may differ from yours, I can only share MY experience. Shalom

You're right that a "call you in 2 months" with no actual date isn't good enough, and I'm sorry that's how the call ended. On the tone: nothing about someone's employment status should ever change how confidently or professionally we speak with them, and it sounds like you walked away feeling dismissed instead of informed. That's especially disappointing to hear given you're a veteran. Yes, pricing is phased (Ignition, Mapping, Coding) because each phase is scoped to what your app actually needs. Neither is a secret, but if it wasn't explained clearly on your call, that's on us. I'd like to make this right. Email [email protected] and reference this review, I'll personally get on a call with you and walk through the whole process, no pressure, no payment required to just get your questions answered. Thanks for taking the time to write this. It's the kind of feedback that makes us better.
