I like the supplements but they’re absurdly overpriced if you live anywhere but the US. Im in Canada and it’s hundreds of dollars plus shipping plus customs to get three supplements. Have ordered them before and after the 6 years I’ve followed i expected them to step up their customer experience but i guess they dont care about anyone outside their borders

I can’t comment on the program, only just stared. But the platform is horrendous. Only a web app, next to unusable on a mobile device. The whole thing is very americanised. Weights and measurements are all in imperial (regardless of web app settings you apply) recipes are all American ingredients. If you live outside the US I would not recommend this program.

Great content but the site support is pathetic. Every month for the last 3 they cut me out of training for 3-5 day due to their inability to handle payments. It is an automatic payment deducted every month from my account. Still, I get cut-off and have to constantly ask the support for resolution. Most bothering is that this always happens in the weekend so no training for 5 days. This is my last month with them.

I purchased the athleanx 90 day workout / diet plan. I think it is only suitable for people with 9-5 jobs and uncapped time for meal planning and prep. There is no shopping lists for the meal plan, so it is extremely tricky to actually purchase the right ingredients, so I ended up sticking to my regular diet. As for the workouts themselves, while they are great at mixing great exercises and keeping my body guessing, some routines (like the 400 challenge) are silly: doing 100 pushups "at any cost" (rather than just "as much as you can do without hurting") should never be encouraged - it can lead to serious injury, and getting to the "100" number has no value from the point of view of becoming more athletic. All in all, I don't think it is good value for money.

AthleanX is ok but several things people need to know before to start. I have been working out intensively for more than 20 years, at different level as well as many disciplines so I have some knowledge of physical preparation. I bought and finished about 75% of AthleanX programs. I would say that it is best to know already a little bit, having some experience exercising before starting with AthleanX. A lot of his programs are highly demanding which can imply injuries if not knowing yourself and your limits. I have myself been seriously hurt and had lower back pain for 2 years with Beaxst despite being very careful. On the other side I also healed myself from the same injury using Xero2. I believe Jeff is geared more toward body weight and heavy weight is not necessarily his specialty but you can still find some interesting stuff. The demand on some of his program is attainable only with a coach to correct you when you reach your limit because a lot of programs/exercises push you far beyond your limit. It is good at a physical level but needs to be adapted to the client. On the other side a lot of them don't push you enough but it has to be a balance when you follow a program. I need to add that I have been myself in an elite military unit so I used to be pushed far beyond my normal limits and learnt really young that body limits are way farther than you can imagine, physical one included. Overall, it is an interesting program with multiple choices but I believe Jeff goes in some area where he is not necessarily an expert. The reason I give only 2 stars is AthleanX has no other interest than making money and that takes the all purpose away. I had to deal with customer service 3 times over the course of 6 years and every time it was a disaster, even though I was a good/reliable customer. They had little to no respect for the customer and few customer service skills. Everything is minimal on this aspect as I believe Jeff only invest time in selling his products and not making sure his customers are happy or improving their health. Once you paid with AthleanX you are done, no possibility of return or refund even if they are wrong. They have no consideration for their customer, only the money. For instance, the very 1st time I dealt with them is when I bought a T-shirt after more than 3 years and multiple programs bought. To give you an idea on how Jeff treat his customers, I bought an AthleanX t-shirt with an extremely bad quality. I never had a t-shirt with a quality that bad in my entire life, even tissues I buy are more resistant. Even after I folded the black t-shirt 4 times I could still see light going through it to give you an idea of the quality. Probably something that cost Jeff $3 with importation but he was selling them for $25 or more. When I saw and realized I have been tricked I then called them which they basically replied that all the T-shirt were the same and it was on me. I only could get a refund after numerous times on the phone because I told them I was going to dispute the charges. This story is just one example but sadly not the only one of this type I had with them. So when you take the fact that it can be pretty advanced exercising level necessitating some good counsel at some points and they don't care about you once you paid then you might want to think twice about it.

I love Jeff Caveliere and his free stuff on YouTube. However, doing AX-2 I did not like because I was losing strength for my heavier lifts. I contacted the program to change to Max size, but was told that I cannot switch because I have used AX-2 for too long (about 2 months). I was forcing myself to like it and decided that I rather lift heavy weights. I pleaded to be able to switch, with no avail. It's a digital product... Why can't I switch to something that I like doing??

I love a lot of this and have been a huge fan of Jeff for years. I have been implementing tips and tricks from his youtube videos for a long time. He always has great advice. So I finally decided to give athlean x a try. It has some seriously killer workouts that will have you sweating and in some seriously good pain. However, I have tried two of his programs AX2 & Maxsize I believe they were called. I have the same types of problems with both of them... They are not real gym friendly. It's not possible or polite to take up 2-3 areas or machines to do your supersets nor is it proper gym etiquette to have bands attached to another machine or weight rack while you're on a different bench trying to attempt some of these movements. I can see this being better and easier for people who don't live in an area such as mine (Southern California) due to there always being a lot of people in my gyms. It's very hard to use a bench to quarter presses then run to a dip bar and hold iso for 30 seconds then run to a cable machine all to do one long exercise. Then to make it all worse they make it sound like you have a 90-day refund guarantee or even says 30 days somewhere on his site but when I went to return it there is no place to return or request a return. Then when I read the Terms and Service at the bottom of the webpage it clearly says there are no refunds for the programs just a 30-day policy on bands. Extremely disappointing to me because I love Jeff and his videos and would rather of spent money on something from him that I can use and like. Like bands or pre-workout or shirts, not a program I can only half do which I won't do because I hate not doing things the way they're supposed to be done. Again this program will for sure work. I have been sore for weeks straight now following it. It is just not practical for people like me unless I can make it to the gym at 1-2am when the gym is less full which for me at this time it is not. I hope that the return policy thing I mentioned gets fixed because it's extremely dishonest to make it appear like you can get a refund when you cannot. SIDE NOTE: The 6-pack-shortcuts function is amazing, so amazing that I paid for the app on my phone and use it after almost every workout. highly recommended.
