Booked a "Platinum" STI screen and was given a date/time. Showed up on time and the building was locked, managed to get into the neighbouring part of the building that does other tests like Ultrasound etc. Had to show the receptionists there my request form, and was told that the clinic in question only do collection in the am - I was given my apt for 14:30. Eventually was taken to the right clinic and had to present my form again to another group of women behind a desk, 3 this time. They had never even heard of better2know. I watched them manually type every pathogen we would be testing for into the system. Finally got my samples taken after a 45 minute, less than confidential, wait. The only thing platinum about this service is the price.

I selected your services after being let down by the NHS. I booked on Friday evening for a Saturday morning test slot. Once at the test location i had the bloods taken and discussed when i would get my results. I was expecting 30/45 minutes only to be told 1-2 working days. This is when i knew what i had purchased was not and that i had been mislead by your website. I then waited. I telephoned on the Monday and was told that results would be available by 4 pm. Nothing arrived that day. I got 3 results the following day and then had to wait for the final result. No apology and no further contact for any kind of explanation.

In Ireland, SH:24 offers a faster service. Complete waste of time paying over the odds (or even at all) for a test that takes longer than one that is freely available and more efficient. Avoid avoid avoid!

This place does have good customer service - they’re always on the end of a phone and speedy to respond to emails. However, this can’t compensate for the slow turnaround time. The lab is clearly overwhelmed right now. I purchased a day 2&8 kit, which arrived without incident the day before I landed - great start. I took the first test, following the instructions to the letter, only to realise that the checklist contains additional information that is not on the main instruction sheet. Panic ensued, as all the instructions have giant warnings about the consequences of not following the procedure correctly. Nevertheless, I contacted the company, they were responsive and provided a suitable solution; I posted the first test and it arrived at the lab early the next morning. So far, no catastrophe. But then, having received my sample early on day 2, the lab then took over 72 hours to provide a result! It finally came through just 30 minutes before my day 5 early release test appointment, and only because I called and sat on hold until it was confirmed. This is completely unacceptable. It is not in-line with the government guidance (which says test providers should endeavour to deliver results within 48 hours) and the delay almost cost me the opportunity to do test to release. This is not the service I paid for and it’s clear they need to find a suitable limit for the number of orders they can accept and process in a timely manner.

I would avoid The Day 2&8 tests were useful and on time as they have described. But the problem is the Test To Release. I have chosen their service as it states "Please note that if your day 4 falls on Sunday, your kit will be sent the next working day". What it does not mention is that even if your day 5 is on any of the weekend days it will not get delivered till monday regardless. Meaning you do not receive your results until day 7-8. They also just try blame you for not paying attention when they could've just worded it better. But they didn't as they knew people would avoid buying their service

I looked online for a ‘quantitative covid-19 antibody test’ - having had covid and wanting to check my antibody levels - and came across Better2Know. They were offering two types of quantitative tests, the one titled ‘new’ cost less and measures the antibody type that lasts longer (rather than include the one that declines shortly after infection), so this is what I opted for as I had covid some time ago. The test arrived reasonably quick and so did the results (took 2-3 days for each). The result was a number indicating the concentration of antibodies in the blood, however there was no information on how to interpret this number. Is it high concentration? Low? What does it mean? I called the helpline and sent emails but they did not explain what the result actually meant apart from telling me I had covid, which I already knew. It turns out that only the other more expensive test gave an indication of the strength of the immune response. I pointed out that it was confusing and not properly explained on their website. I received no reply. I also asked whether they would offer a discount if I ordered the other test given I’ve spent this money on the first for nothing, again no reply. This is disappointing customer service, and the information on the site is at best unclear and at worst deliberately misleading. It’s a shame as otherwise it could have been a straightforward and efficient way of ascertaining antibody levels. But it isn’t really because it’s not clear that the ‘new’ test is only useful if you take a few of them over time so you compare the levels to previous ones. It was £50 down the drains.

Great you can call and speak to someone but totally rubbish as lost our day 2 Covid tests so no result! Here’s hoping the day 8 results come through but I don’t hold out much hope!
