This is my first time publishing a book. And everything was great. The only down fall was the surprise price over copy right. I think all prices need to be upfront. But either way it was a wonderful experience and so much help with stuff I didn’t know

I could not be more pleased with this experience. I had not intended to publish my book about the guitar. I just wanted some editing help. Zoe took a look and rightfully convinced me to take it to market because she saw some real value in it. She explained how you folks work, laid out a reasonable plan, and held my hand throughout an entire process all new to me. Her work on the custom cover, formatting, and endless patience with my editing foibles and uncertainty -- well, she was steadfast, kind, and understanding. I am fortunate to have gotten to work with someone who has such a strong ability to connect with people - especially a crusty old man like me. Somehow, she made me proud of a little manuscript, turned it into something worthy of real pride, and in the process made think of her as a friend. Her personality in infectuous, her knowledge runs deep, and she surely is a valuable asset to Books In Ink. My 31 years in the USAF taught me to recognize talent. This whole Journey was about relationships with people who were broken and harmed me in that brokenness. My relationship with Zoe and her connection to me and the story was very intense at times. I wrote from pain and she gave me the benefit of looking forward and seeing me for the human being I am. At a time when all else was being judged by a people who saw me as an abuser and not abused. I needed that kind of support because Personal Violence was that kind of project. People were able to cut the part out of my life that fit their narrative. Zoe through countless conversations devoted her everyday to personal support and encouragement. Never have I experienced such support on the actual living of my life. When she didn’t understand she probed and respected the fact that I was also grieving for the world to see. Her entire desire was for this book to be more than abuse. There was a life connection between as as a result of personal violence. I live by the belief that what God put together no man shall tear it apart. She saw the man and found value in my experience I could not have asked for a kinder more loving and generous person. Thank you for putting my life together when I had none and for that I will always have a special admiration for how she handled my life’s work. Thank you
