Bought from Caltech Lifts, lovely salesman, quick sale and decent delivery time. Fitted very quickly by a nice engineer. The stairlift seems good, sturdy and does the job. Unfortunately we've had 2 x faults within weeks of instulation both of which required a part and its taken weeks each time to get the parts and come back to fit them. Hence the 2 stars less for each fault.

The company and their people are excellent. The Bruno stairlife works, but it is installed over a wood stair case and has a metal rail. The flex of the wood and the metal make it too noisy. Many times we thought it would break, but the service tech assured us that it would not and even if one tower failed, the others would not. Again, we could not live without it but it is too noisy. Also, I greased the track and the service tech told me that I used too much grease. There were no guide lines for noise reduction or on how much grease to us. Thanks for asking.

We purchased a Bruno Chariot approximately just over a year ago. We have used it for local driving only. We have used the unit probably not to exceed 20 times. A huge component of the unit (actuator) went out. Bruno sent a new one to our medical supply business that we purchased the Chariot from. Bruno covered the cost of the actuator, but not the labor. We spent 6k on this unit, and it is less than a year old, and they did not even cover labor on their warranty. After we received the unit, we learned that Bruno says do not exceed 65 mph with the unit. That just killed all the planned cross country trips we were going to take with the unit. So, they might be a good company, and the main gripe is not covering labor for a warranty replacement. Very disappointed in them for this. We will most likely sell the unit in the coming months and take a loss on it, just to get rid of it.

We like the Bruno Elan Stairlift product. They are both running well now. We are appreciative of the phone and on-site support from Lynn Ferguson. We were not satisfied with the initial installations as follows: 1. The basic preowned basement stairlift did not run smoothly on the track and the track gears had to be repositioned. 2. The obstruction switch was not set properly and had to be recalibrated in order for the carriage to operate after only 2 days. 3. The carriage would not move after a week of operation because the footrest had a loose wire. 4. The new upstairs stairlift with all power features was noisy and the track had to be greased by Lynn just 2 weeks after installation.

It works well, serves the purpose and saves the knees, however it is more noisy (tracks) than I anticipated or like.

The chairlift stopped working after about a dozen uses. I called the salesman, David Sloan, who promptly came over and although he gave excellent service he couldn't figure out the problem. David called the tech, Dakota, who discovered it was a signal interruption and remedied the problem.
