About Campfire Hosting
Campfire Hosting: Only Pay for the Time You Play! Why pay for a Minecraft server 24/7 when you only play a few hours? With Campfire Hosting, you only pay when your server is actually online! It's a pay-as-you-play model, so you save money by only using credits when your server is active. How does it work? Purchase credits, and they’re only deducted while your server is running. When it’s offline, your credits stay untouched beyond a small, affordable server storage fee. Plus, your server automatically boots up whenever someone joins, stays on for as long as you’re playing, and shuts down when everyone logs off.Campfire Hosting supports all your favorite server types like Forge, Paper, and Fabric, and comes with an easy-to-use admin panel. Manage your server with features like a server properties editor, CPU & memory monitoring, a log viewer, command prompt, and more!Try Campfire Hosting today! Campfire Hosting (campfirehosting.com) has 31 customer reviews on Folks Told, with an average rating of 4.6 out of 5.
Campfire Hosting is often praised because it makes running a Minecraft server feel much simpler and more accessible, especially for players who don’t want to deal with complicated setup or constant technical issues. It usually offers a clean interface where you can install plugins or add-ons quickly, manage settings without digging through confusing files, and get your server online fast. Many users like that it supports both Bedrock and Java-related needs in different ways, making it flexible for different types of servers. It also tends to focus on performance and uptime, which means fewer random crashes or lag spikes when you’re playing with friends. Overall, it’s popular because it takes a lot of the stress out of hosting and lets you focus more on actually playing and building your world.

The Good The Bad and the WIP
The Good, The Bad, and The WIP
The Good
The things I extremely enjoy about this hosting service is the process to upload mods is displayed on their website and it's easy to understand, especially once you do it the first time. I also believe that their support team is approachable and works diligently to attempt to fix errors or crashes in your code. They aren't a 24/7 team, but they do reply as soon as they can.
The pay-when-you-play system is also a nice feature given that you don't waste money on a server to play for only two days. I've had hours and hours of gameplay without needing to re-apply money.
The server also allows multiple* servers to be added to the accounted for free. (Although there is a daily storage cost for your server to keep with maintenance.)
They have Java, Bedrock, Forge, Neoforge, and Fabric servers. So there's no need to worry about being unable to play with your friends due to a platform or version.
The Bad
Unfortunately, they are only hosting on US East servers, so you may experience trouble if different areas of the world. My Australian friend was unable to play with us without rubber-banding and lag.
I also have experienced multiple instances where the servers will be completely shut down and they need to fix them. Although, once brought to attention, they usually solve it quickly.
Unfortunately their rates did go up as well from what they used to be, (9 Cents for Max Package to 12 Cents for Max Package). Although, it's a very minor change to help the upkeep of the servers and was out of their control.
The WIP
The server has only been hosting I believe for around a year and a half. So they are generally new to the hosting scene, but don't let that newness deter you.
They are actively working on ways to increase efficiency and understandkmg for their servers.
They regularly update in their discord server, which I recommend joining, so there's no need to fear joining a dead hosting service, just understand it's a small team and it takes time.
Conclusion
Overall, I think Campfire Hosting is a good server host. They help you with errors efficiently, even mod issues for customs. They are pay-to-play but without a monthly subscription that you don't get the full use out of, and it's affordable.

TOO MUCH TIME
takes a tremendous amount of time to load. I would understand it taking a while if I had 100 mods, but I only have 1 active

Easy to Setup, Affordable, Supportive!
I've been using Campfire hosting for sessions of a game I run in minecraft. It has been incredibly useful as I don't need the server up all the time and is incredibly affordable! I've had little issue and the one Issue I did have was out of their control due to region locked content. Even then, the support discord was incredibly helpful and did their absolute best to help and even offered a refund to me. Incredible hosting service in my experience.

Very good experience
I have been having a very good experience with campfire hosting. I am the co-owner of a large smp and me and the server owner have been hosting this Minecraft java and bedrock server and we grown over 250 members. Our community has LOVED their time in the SMP and we would love to give a big thanks to Campfire Hosting.
