The website was informative, they had a value calculator for the seller to estimate value, the terms and conditions seemed fair, and it cost seller nothing to send their commodity and cost nothing to the seller to have it sent back if their offer was declined. Plan to negotiate. This is like any other transaction: The seller wants as much as they can get, and buyer wants to pay as little as possible. The difference is negotiable. A metals buyer will always discount the posted daily price, how much is not stated on the website and the sellers tolerance to the deduct. If their offer is unacceptable decline the offer simple as that. They will send back at no charge. No harm, no foul. Its like any other negotiation: if seller is desperate, they will smell blood in the water and discount will likely remain large. The seller MUST KNOW WEIGHT AND PURITY and do some research on value, then figure out the lowest price you would accept. Its like the "art of the deal": don't be afraid to walk away, because it doesn't cost seller anything to do so. Seller may want to expect a discount of 25-30% from spot. I was happy with my whole experience, aside from my immediate reaction to the initial quite low original offer.
