I ordered prescription Sunglasses as a Christmas gift for my husband on 11/23 and didn’t receive them until 12/24th. Right before Christmas, what was horrible was that I got no updates or confirmation that my order was being processed. So I literally was just hoping I didn’t get scammed. When my husband tried them on he stated the prescription was wrong. I contacted coolframes to see what had happened and automatically they asked for a copy of the prescription , sure enough I misread the prescription and gave them a wrong axis. Ok this was my fault, however on their website they have a statement saying they want complete satisfaction so if we provide the wrong prescription they are “willing to work with you to replace lenses at a discounted price”. No! This is a lie! I was told I would have to repurchase another lenses at full price per the optician! I paid 240 for the frames and 204 for the lenses that are useless. Complete waste of money. First and last time giving business to a company that doesn’t care for its customers and has false advertising on their website!! Do not recommend.

8/16/2022: Hi Mrs. Torres, Would you please send me an email at [email protected]? I'd really like to speak with you about getting this taken care of and making you happy. I'm so sorry this happened! Thank you, Ashley C. coolframes.com thank you for your order and I am sorry for the trouble. Our system is set up to notify our customers in three diff points, when we receive and order you get notified that we had an order for you and provide an order number, we then provide a notification when frame and lenses are ordered and then finally when the item is shipped with a tracking number. As far as the lenses are concerned sadly the one that was selected is a custom product that cannot be exchanged or returned. The axis selected turned out to be wrong and sadly since the lenses are polar custom we cannot do anything to help and new lenses are required. If this was a progressive lens or a stock product we would replace them at no cost as we always do. Lee W.

I only gave two stars because order isn’t complete until I receive item and at this point checking order status, I believe this is the hard part, it’s called “dragging feet” processing, it’s all about patience from the time I placed the order

This is a great site and offers many options for all types of eye-ware. For those needing progressive lenses - BBW - progressive markings are so obvious that they distort your vision and cause headaches. Unfortunately - CoolFrames will not exchange/refund the cost of lenses - even due to their manufacture process flaw which allows you to see the PM markings just by looking at the lenses. It would have been nice in advance to see a note on their website, that PM markings may be visible to the naked eye. Research and ask them to validate their PM markings if you use progressive lenses in advance so that you don't get stuck with useless glasses/lenses.

Thank you for your order, we received notification of your purchase Friday night 11:15pm, we shipped 3 of the 4 frames you bought within 4 business days and notified you of one of them being on back order the first business day. we shipped and you received your order 7 days after you purchased them on a weekend, 7 dyers door to door. your order was then sent back to us for a refund which we provided according to our public policy. We deceive no one and if you are upset with our return policy we are not to be blamed as those are available to read at anytime prior to purchase. Lee W.

Broke my original frames and learned they had been discontinued. Found my frames here - shipment to Canada was easy; popped in my lenses and good as new! So glad I didn’t have to buy new lenses.
