About Core Balance Training
Dedicated to reversing the causes of lower back pain, Core Balance Training is an online program that uses core activation and movement retraining to help people improve posture and escape the back pain cycle. Students first learn how to activate the spinal support muscles of their deep core by connecting to their 'Core Anchors', then how to apply that connection to movement. Students are guided through a system of core-based movement, resulting in a healthy core connection and supported spine in activities of daily life.Core Balance Training was founded in 2016 by Dr. Ryan Peebles, a Doctor of Physical Therapy who has committed over 20 years to better understanding and reversing the root causes of chronic lower back pain. After overcoming his personal struggles with back problems, Dr. Ryan now guides others to get out of pain. The 12-week program can be completed by all ages and fitness levels. It begins with simple core-based movements, progressing to functional and complex movements over a 3 month period. All movements become healthy for the spine, allowing students to return to higher level activities, such as fitness and sport without pain. Other outcomes are improved function and reduced or eliminated lower back pain. Because the solution focuses on education and movement retraining, the results of Core Balance Training are typically lifelong.

I have serve stenosis at L4, L5, suffered the dull pain/numbness for 3+ years. Dr. Ryan’s program did help me a lot . I have much less pain when I walk and are able to do some hiking again which I can’t in the past couple years. I am not pan free now , still suffered some pain but am able to do more walking which means a lot to me .
Wish more people could benefit from this program .

Loved this program! I was quite skeptical when I joined…
I was quite skeptical when I joined this program, as I have been to PT twice for my back issues over the past 10 years. And those programs did not help me. Well, I just completed the CBT program and I got so much more out of it than any PT programs I have done in the past. Dr Ryan's knowledge of the human body is the best I have seen. As he is teaching each new exercise, he goes through a thorough explanation of how each move works and the reason for doing it to improve your back health and function. Once you learn the basic core anchors, he teaches how to apply those to everyday life activities. In just two months of doing this program almost every day, my core is so much stronger, my tight hamstrings have really loosened up (which I have learned is a major cause of low back pain). These are not just your typical abdominal exercises to strengthen your core. You learn how to engage all the tiny core muscles, that you didn't even know you have, which supports the spine as you move. He also teaches active stretching, as opposed to passive stretching, which makes the results last. I thought the price of $99/month was well worth it, compared to what I have spent on useless PT programs in the past. Plus they let you do a free trial for the first week, I believe. So you can give it a try and see if it helps you before you commit to paying anything. In addition, Dr Ryan does a live program on YouTube each week, where students can get questioned answered live, which I found very helpful. The support team is also available via email to answer any questions along the way too. If you have any type of back issues, I highly recommend you give it a try!

Positive experience from CBT course
I have had a positive experience from this course. My back pain has gone, and I was able to stay with the program.
The pace was just right and I was comfortable with the knowledge that I could stay with a module if needed.
I liked the daily emails, as I found them encouraging and supportive. I definitely have a better understanding and awareness of my deep core and connection. The concepts were clear and very valuable, as they gave me a deeper understanding of the physiology and what needed to change to achieve a healthier back. The quality of instruction and support from the CBT is very high.
I joined the student hub, which I found beneficial, as I felt connected to others on a similar path of recovery. Posting a question or learning from questions other students had asked was very helpful.

I FIXED ME WITH THIS PROGRAM!
I had an SI joint and hip issue for nearly a year and a half when I found Core Balance Training. I had dumped thousands of dollars down the drain with a traditional physical therapist (who said form & engagement didn't matter just do the exercise) and a chiropractor who twisted and tweaked me into temporary relief.
Although I didn't get immediate relief, somewhere Dr. Ryan made a comment that S.I. joint pain is a long game. Glad I caught that. It made me more patient with the process and program. Now, this program only works if you the participant actually pay attention and DO IT. Pay good attention to the instruction not to engage secondary muscles that take away from the core build. This all takes persistance and practice. It's extremely valuable resource to ask questions to the supporting staff in the comment section that come with the daily exercise. They are top notch helpers and this program wouldn't be as great without them. ALSO take the time for the meetup on YouTube. Dr. Ryan is amazing with his explanations of why something hurts and how to fix it. He has pinpointed the way to healing. When I completed my three month subscription my S.I. was about 70% better. It took me a couple months after the program ended but I was able to completely fix my issue with daily diligence. He had also mentioned he used a turmeric supplement in one of his convos. I grabbed one of those as well and it seemed to help the inflammation. I continue to do the exercises a few times a week. If I neglect time for myself to strenghthen this weekness, it tries to sneak back up on me. Lastly and I discovered this a bit to late since my app for the program expired when I cancelled but there is a FAQ section that was so helpful, I skimmed what I could in the last day I had my subscription.
I appreciated the affordability of the program and that is actually worked, I can't give enough thanks to you CBT! Life is better now.

Core Balance Training a Must for Back Pain
Core Balance Training is excellent. I enjoyed it very much and I plan on continuing by going through the whole thing again. I appreciate that they offer an alumni rate for after you finish the program. I've really benefited a lot and I think the way that Ryan teaches the program is outstanding!

This program is the real deal
This program is the real deal. It is written by an actual doctor of physical therapy, the content is extremely well designed and easy to follow, and it is delivered in consumable and immediately actionable, bite-size pieces. It's very approachable and effective. and Dr. Peebles holds office hours on Zoom if you need help.

Core Balance Training gave me hope for…
Core Balance Training gave me hope for a healthier future. This is not a training to be taken quickly. If you are dedicated to give your 100% 15 minutes a day with the techniques that are taught and make time to walk in Phase II, you will see results and have less pain. I did it twice a day and I received 75% relief from pain after Phase II. Some days I have no pain at all, where as, prior I had pain every day and night without relief. This training will stay with you for a lifetime of healthy movement and stronger lifestyle. It teaches you how to train your body to move the way we were meant to move prior to the poor habits we developed throughout a stressful life. I am very grateful.
