Drake SoftwareReviews of drakesoftware.com

It's cheap and the program makes it clear why. Cumbersome, inefficient interface intended to be "helpful". The need to enter some things in multiple screens is tedious and makes it easier to make a mistake. The diagnostics don't take you to the issue so you have to try to find it in the poor interface. Some things don't calculate properly. Overall it's inefficient and not a product I felt confidence in so I went back to my prior software. Unfortunately I was told inaccurate information when I asked what if I don't like the product and I want a refund so I am not getting a refund and get to pay for two tax programs this year. Drake is not worth it!

easy to work with

Great servicr

I have used Drake software since 1998. I'm mostly retired, and using Drake Zero for family returns. This year, I'm trying to file a return with a sale of residence that meets the exclusion requirements, BUT was a rental in the past. I can NOT get the software to compute properly, and Support is NO help. They keep saying they have escalated the matter and someone will get back to me, but no one ever does. First time I've ever been disappointed with Drake :( *Note* - "someone" DID call me back; we connected today - and the problem IS resolved. Thanks!

Leading tax software company in assisting in preparing tax returns. In the forefront of filing from the beginning of the idea. Friendly with faith-based management that is a delight to take classes & learn tax return preparation the tax code.

When you want the best products and services you choose Drake, but I feel they are over priced and should not keep going up year after year since now you can just download.... no production in packaging and mailing should be a savings, and with business suffering, the discount should be for longer periods of time. If we are suffering financially, AND been faithful for 10 years, there should be some consideration.

The form 4562 computation does not show exactly as what I expected.

They offer great support!
