I really wanted to like this service. I think it’s a great concept as my dog has major vet anxiety and has to be tranquilized for visits. Unfortunately, the execution is awful. I had a nice Telehealth visit with my dog for a simple issue. He needed antibiotics. That’s where the problems started…these people can’t get you meds in a timely fashion. You have two options: 1) you can order from them and pay $20 for “expedited” shipping which they admit will take at least four days, or 2) you can pay a $5 “transfer fee” to have the prescription sent to a local pharmacy…fine…but the problem is they say it will take 2 to 3 days for them to complete this transfer. Is my dog supposed to continue suffering and getting sicker in the meantime? I quickly canceled my subscription, gave my dog a tranquilizer, and we headed to our local vet for the meds he needed. If they could figure out a way to get you meds in a timely fashion, this service would be great. As it is, it is useless unless you’re just wanting flea and tick meds.

Dutch isn’t meant to replace emergency or urgent care, but rather to provide convenient, ongoing support for non-emergency conditions. For prescriptions, we offer free shipping (4–7 days) and rush shipping (1–3 days). You also have the option to transfer your prescription to a local pharmacy if you prefer, while we note that it can take 2–3 days, most transfers are completed much more quickly. We truly appreciate your feedback as it helps us improve our service, and we’re glad you saw the potential in the concept. I’m really sorry to hear your experience didn’t go as expected. That’s never the kind of visit we want anyone to have. Just to clarify, when you reached out to cancel on 10/13/2025, we processed it right away and issued a full refund the same day. You did speak with one of our vets during your appointment, but because your pet’s issue needed hands-on care, they recommended seeing a local vet in person. In those situations, our team always wants to make sure your pet gets the safest and most thorough care possible. We know being asked to upload prior records can feel like an extra step, but it’s meant to help the vet get a quick, full picture of what’s going on. I’m sorry if that added to your frustration. We really appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback, it helps us improve how we support both pets and their people.
