Dear Melinda: Yes, it is easy to insert, but it has to (SEAL) your ear canal to really BLOCK OUT MUCH !!!!! Melinda, insert the ear plug a (bit more firmly) UNTIL YOU FEEL IT (SEAL) THE EAR CANAL. Most sincerely Mary-customer service

Oh Joni: We've sent you the HIGHEST BLOCKING EAR PLUG in THE WORLD!!!----and unfortunately you never figured out how to insert it on the cruise. If you did, you would not have heard ANY SNORING!!!! Joni, please don't give up. Please, follow the below instructions exactly and you will be pleasantly "shocked" ! 1. Just as you are about to insert, take ONE ear plug and {work or knead it} thoroughly between your fingers or hands for at least 20 seconds to make it soft, moldable and to disburse the Pure Lanolin throughout the ear plug. Pure Lanolin makes the ear plug slightly “tacky” so that it stays securely in the ear canal and (SEALS) it. When the ear plug is soft and moldable and ready to insert, it doesn't matter what shape it is; round, flat, long or narrow; just follow the next step. 2. Using the tip of your index finger, push FIRMLY& FLATTEN the ear plug IN and AGAINST your ear canal (until you feel a GOOD (SEAL!) If it doesn't seal immediately, then hold your finger pressed against the ear plug (with slight pressure) for a few more seconds and it will (SEAL) well. 3. Now take the other ear plug, prepare it the same way & insert it into the other ear. With both ear plugs inserted correctly & sealing the ear canals, you’ll notice a HUGE improvement. 4. To Remove: Simply pinch the ear plug with your thumb & index finger and gently pull downward and out. Dear Denise: Thank you for telling us of your appreciation for the magnificent sound suppression ability of our ear plug; Oh Yes! the secret is out; BEESWAX is the BEST SOUND SUPPRESSION material on the planet!! Re: residue: Denise, if you will just (knead or work) the ear plugs between your fingers of hands for 20 seconds (just prior to inserting), you will then disburse the pure Lanolin throughout the ear plug and it will not leave any residue.
