Reply from Mighty Plugs: The World's Finest EarplugsAug 27, 2013
Dear Asa:
There is a huge difference between our soft and moldable 'beeswax' ear plug and a firmer silicone ear plug that is widely recognized for popping out and letting in too much sound. Asa, to experience the superior performance of our ear plug, you must follow (exactly), the preparation and insertion directions below, and you will then see why all the testimonials on our website page are true and accurate.
1. Just as you are about to insert, take ONE ear plug and {work it or knead it} thoroughly between your fingers or hands for at least 15 seconds to make it soft, moldable and to disburse the Pure Lanolin throughout the ear plug. Pure Lanolin makes the ear plug slightly “tacky” so that it stays securely in the ear canal and seals it. When the ear plug is soft and moldable and ready to insert, it doesn't matter what shape it is; round, flat, long or narrow; just follow the next step.
2. Using the tip of your index finger, push FIRMLY & FLATTEN the ear plug IN and AGAINST your ear canal (until you feel a *GOOD SEAL*) If it doesn't seal immediately, then hold your finger pressed against the ear plug (with slight pressure) for a few more seconds and it will seal well.
3. Now take the other ear plug, prepare it the same way & insert it into the other ear. With both ear plugs inserted correctly & sealing the ear canals, you will notice a huge improvement.
4. To Remove: Simply pinch the ear plug with your thumb & index finger and gently pull downward and out.
