EGOReviews of egopowerplus.com

Took 2 months to send a set of golf clubs from Hobart to Tweed Heads. Tracking was a fiction. Never again EGO or HUNTER EXTRESS. 16 December to 13th February is unacceptable. No contact number is given by EGO to follow up. Hunter Express washed their hands of the debacle. Said it’s all ‘on-line’.

I recently purchased an EGO POWER+ 56-volt 21-in Self-propelled Cordless Lawn Mower 6 Ah (Battery Included) - Feb 2023. The first one I purchased the battery didn't seem to hold a charge beyond 30 min... I contacted EGO customer service and they indicated they would send another battery. I didn't receive a battery; called back to customer service and discovered the order had not been placed. The battery was re-ordered. A week later, I took my unit back to Lowes and exchanged it for a new mower as I could not wait on the battery. My battery arrived today 3/9/23 I will say that I've enjoyed my mower, and so far, so good. It's easy for me to use and it makes cutting my yard simple. I decided that I would do my own yard this year as my yard is pretty flat. I even cut my neighbor's yard which is on a hill. The self-propelled feature made it a breeze. It was easy for me to use as a woman who does not like yard work at all. It's lightweight and stores easily in my garage. After having done some additional research, I found out that you absolutely can not leave the battery on the charger for an extended period of time, it will degrade the battery and shorten the battery life. EGO may want to put a big RED STICKER on all of their BATTERIES to Tell everyone, do not to leave their battery in the cold and do not leave the battery plugged into an outlet beyond what is necessary to charge it. I think some of the bad reviews may be a result of people leaving their units plugged in and not knowing that it will cause the battery to fail. Next on my list is the backpack blower.

Garbage product. Dead after 1/2 season of use. "No life expectancy for batteries" aka we know they aren't going to last.

Right after Christmas and after 9 months of usage our 42" ZTR mower just stopped working. Our first step was to contact Ego customer service. We were instructed to bring the mower back to Lowes, where it was purchased, for the Ego appointed service provider to pick up and fix. We dropped it off around the 28th of December 2022. We later learned that it was 3 weeks before the service provider picked it up. I should have realized then, this was not going to go as planned. Fast forward through dozens of calls to Ego customer service (I know them all, and they know me as well) to the first week of March 2023 and we still don't have our mower back. We have been told it has been fixed and that the service provider took it back to Lowes. However, we contacted Lowes on Friday March 3rd and were told by them it is not there. To say I am beyond frustrated with Ego is an understatement. I am at a point where if I don't get any progress immediately, that I will have our attorney get involved. Their service is that terrible.

Really surprised to read such bad reviews. I got the multitool four years ago (Combi strimmer, hedge trimmer, pole chainsaw) and added the long blade hedge trimmer and chainsaw a year later. Use them for routine maintenance (i.e. I'm not a professional user but they get a heavy workout every couple of months) - chainsaw has gone through thousands of logs, strimmer has done acres of grass and light brush. All still working fine, more than enough power, never had any issues with maintenance. I'm really happy with these tools.

LM2130SP thought this was a great machine until I had to "change the blade" to use the bag??? Then it's a "BTW" moment buy a torque wrench for an additional 50.00 to 100.00$ at Lowes after spending 569.00$ so that you can change the blade. I tried to just change the blade with a socket wrench and the blade won't move if it's too tight. So, I loosen the blade a bit it worked for a while then began to rattle as it came loose? NEVER BUY THIS AGAIN. PS I tried to log into my account. 3 times still waiting...for the log in to go through. I then try to open a new account to log in...it won't let me as I already have an account associated with my e-mail.

nothing but an expensive boat anchor with no usable warranty. 650 blower lasted less than a year their customer service is worthless.

For the second time, an EGO CS1600E chainsaw has failed within a year of purchase, despite fully charged battery. Repairs seem impossible: the selling companies don't have the ability, can't get the parts, and EGO itself is almost impossible to contact. Their warranty is a useless piece of paper. In principle, the mowers (I have two) and saws are brilliant in design and initial performance, but the quality of assembly is poor, and the service support might as well not exist. A pity, because the relief from petrol fumes and noise was so enjoyable.
