Dove on the Caribbean Explorer 2. The crew was excellent, particularly chef Julian. Everyone on board did great. The diving was also very nice. I was very happy with the trip, and I highly recommend it. The only significant problem I had was with the boat. The cabins are always very cold (too cold). That might be ok in the Summer, but the water was cold on this trip. It was very hard to warm up afterwards.

Once I arrived at the boat the service and crew and accommodation were great! In fact I have been singing their praises since I returned. The travel to and from the vessel (domestic flight) were very frustrating. Arriving on board at 2am to supposedly start my first dive at 6am, not safe and forced changes. On the tail end of my trip I again left at a weird time preventing one of my designated days of diving. In all I was forced to miss 3 dives not of by my choice.

The dives were really nice. The dive guides were helpful and cool. The chefs were AWESOME. Honestly, the whole staff was great.

Great boat,crew,and especially the food.The diving was wall and patch reef leading to the walls.Very similar to the Bahamas.

Trip with an excellent accompaniment by the crew and dive guides. Some details to improve on the vessel such as - slippery floor on some stairs and on the sun deck and lack of a lock, on the bedroom toilet door, for air renewal. Very good quality food but not much quantity. Hope to come again.

The crew, the jacuzzi and the hammerhead sharks were the highlight of the trip! The crew was very helpful and happy. The food during the entire trip was good. Not 5 star because we have several time problems with our dinghy. Otherwise everything is good!

Traveled Sept 2021. Excellent pre/post-trip assistance re covid forms and testing logistics. Direct pickup to/from airport to the boat was helpful. Rooms and common spaces unusually large, modern, well kept and sanitized daily, though did use traditional buffet lines for food (which was very good but a bit repetitive (local supply issues); several birthdays received special celebrations. No one wore masks but most (by informal poll were vaccinated and all tested). Did find that the mattress was a bit hard (another guest requested double mattresses). Dive briefings were excellent with videos, maps, creature briefings etc. Good boat safety briefing with daily reminders. DM's very ecologically and safety conscious and good at managing differential experience levels; boat crew especially attentive re-kitting up, cleaning gear, etc. Having a bathroom on the covered and large dhoni was nice. Efforts were made to accommodate different guest's dive expectations. Husband/wife cruise/dive directors were spectacularly good, dined with guests, solved problems seamlessly. Due to scheduling (4-5 dives a day + transits) dives were limited to 60 min (with a little slack when mantas encountered!). Guest dynamics unusual .. one very large dive club that generally was together all the time + several guests who were friendly but English language challenged. Cultural diversity was nice but made interactions stilted and isolated at times. Definitely an upper end dive boat (we've been on 15+)
