If I could give Express Scripts zero stars, I would. My experience with their "customer service" and internal policies has been nothing short of a bureaucratic nightmare. Every time I call, I am met with a labyrinthine automated system designed to keep me from speaking to a human. When I finally do reach a representative, they are either: Ill-informed. Powerless. Indifferent. The company's policies seem intentionally designed to favor its bottom line over its clients. Express Scripts is the poster child for everything wrong with the American healthcare system. They force you to use a service that clearly does not care about you. If you have a choice, go anywhere else. Save yourself the stress and the inevitable headache. Bottom line: Inefficient, unreliable, and utterly dismissive of customer needs. Avoid at all costs.

GET RID OF that robotic nu. 800-282-2881! Could not get to a human being to help w. problem. What a piece of crap!

I have been using express scripts for 2 years because my company penalizes not using them because they are also our prescription insurance. They have never NOT been late delivering my medication and I have wound up with horrible symptoms from going off my very common medication several times. I have to call in my prescription every time even though I have refills. This is genuinely a terrible company.

Absolutely terrible company to work with. The customer service is awful. It is almost impossible to get a straight answer out of anyone there and they cannot return a doctor's phone call for 3-5 days. Their fax line was not working and my doctor's office tried calling them for days. Meanwhile I'm out here without my prescription. Now they are telling me that I cannot order 90 days worth of my medication, even though I have refills available.

Scammers. If we had a real DOJ they’d be in jail. This company should be shut down, its executives imprisoned, and its operations dissolved.

Had my script on "pause: DO NOT SEND" and they sent it anyways and refused to refund or take it back. They told me I "released" it to mail and I DID NOT!!! Was put on hold for over an hour each time I called, and they came back and said they will not refund nor take the meds back. Uggg hate dealing w/ them and wish the military did not use them...but I don't have a choice :(

Horrendous pharmacy. Had a prescription that they messed around with for over 2 months saying it needed to be pre-authorized and it was authorized on April 3rd and now April 12th and still no meds. Call them and they said it will ship April 15th. Express Scripts is bottom of the barrel for everything. Only use them because we have to with our highmark crap insurance.

They have reset my account now 2 times. Deleting any refills and deleting any prior orders they filled. Every time I have to have my Dr. resend the scripts in and then I need to get approval. I consistently go without my meds because of these delays. One is a controlled substance so I can't even get tested by my doctor to see if it is working properly because I am never taking it consistently. Steer clear of this company if you can. I am stuck as my insurance provider will only allow me to use Express scripts or I can use another pharmacy at triple the cost to me.
