I have been taking 1000mg metformin twice daily and having gi related issues especially in the morning. A new Dr suggested and wrote script for extended release. Express scripts denied the request. When I called after some time waiting to speak to a person the Express scripts representative finally suggested that I have the pharmacy fill the script using 500mg extended since they were covered. I'm out of meds and asking the office to resubmit the script except using the equivalent 500mg.
It's just a scam to have me to pay out of pocket or use Good Rx as I do for most of my other scripts.
Please stop pushing this company on your employees.

Repeated misinformation, incompetence, and zero accountability
Express Scripts has consistently provided some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced.
This is not about one bad phone call. It is an ongoing pattern of misinformation, contradictory answers, excessive transfers, and a complete lack of accountability.
I have repeatedly received conflicting instructions about prescription coverage, pharmacy requirements, and prior authorizations. Different representatives provide completely different answers to the same questions, leaving customers to figure out which information is actually correct.
The complaint process is just as frustrating. After requesting a formal grievance, I was given a reference number, yet subsequent representatives could not provide a meaningful update. Instead, I was directed to my plan sponsor for information about a complaint involving Express Scripts' own customer service.
There have also been repeated phone issues, long holds, and representatives who seem unable to access the information necessary to resolve basic concerns.
These are people's medications and healthcare decisions. Incorrect information can cause treatment delays, unnecessary expenses, and significant stress.
A company responsible for administering prescription benefits should have knowledgeable representatives, consistent information, reliable systems, and a transparent complaint process.
Based on my repeated experiences, Express Scripts has failed in all these areas. The company needs serious improvements in employee training, internal communication, grievance handling, and accountability.
I have completely lost confidence in Express Scripts.

If I could leave negative reviews I…
If I could leave negative reviews I would. I have been working with my CNP for over a month to fill 2 scripts that the pharmacy keeps denying because of prior authorization issues. The CNP is trying to replace an antibiotic I have been on daily for well over 20 years. Express scripts continues to deny any option she puts out there, even submitting all of their requests for additional information. Express Scripts can kiss my ass and burn to the ground.

Sick child, lied to about their prescription
My premie son was prescribed Synagis after he was born during col/flu season. When he was one, Express Scripts only processed his prescription for three months and then denied it for the remaining three months. When I spoke to the representative, they said that it was actually our insurance that denied it. I called insurance and got them on the phone with the representative and caught Express Scripts in the lie. The representative then changed their story and said that our employers HR department was denying the script. I spoke with HR and confirmed this was also a lie. An Express Scripts supervisor also confirmed that was a lie and was unsure why the representative told me that. At one point the representative said to me, "I am doing everything to help you" while repeatedly lying to me. Eventually our employer forced Express Scripts to approve the remaining three months of treatment for our son. A few weeks later I received a call from a different Express Scripts employee who identified themselves as the Syangis manager and questioned why I never reached out to her directly. Her contact information was nowhere online and none of the previous Express Scripts employees had even mentioned her name or transferred me to her. Instead of apologizing for not monitoring our case and getting involved, she chose to chastise me for not contacting her directly when I didn't even know she existed. At every level this is an evil company.

Express scripts review
Express scripts review: issues with system and if you speaking to a human they LIE! They must really hate their Jobs to feel the need to LIE. Horrible customer service! Issues with refills, issues with ordering a refill, issues with filling orders on time, issues with mailing.. now for someone who’s on a maintenance refill this shouldn’t be an issue, they leave you without medication for well over a week! My question would be how many people have died because they didn’t get their medication? Worst pharmacy EVER!! Do NOT use them. HUGE REGRET!!!! I was told two times that they were filling and would put a rush order on my prescriptions twice and that never happened… still waiting… staff is horrible, delivery from express scripts failure, over all I would give them a fat ZERO!!!

0 Stars
0 Stars. Worst medical company I have ever dealt with. Customer service is abysmal. Never get my prescriptions on time or sometimes never get them at all. Only way to contact them is by phone, and it takes 20-40 min to get a human.
Then an obviously uneducated & poorly paid remote worker asks a bunch of questions to verify you > then they say you've reached the wrong dept (which is laughable as they only have 1 phn # you can call ie to reorder meds, thus 1 dept) > so they transfer you to another dept > and you wait another 20-30 min to get another human, all the while being forced to listen to the worst elevator music you've ever heard > then they re-ask you a bunch of the same questions to verify you > then good luck getting anything accomplished after that.
I’ve spent months and 20+ hours on phn with them, and they still mail my meds via USPS, which require a signature. Since my building has a mailroom & USPS does not deliver to your front door, they mailman always leaves a note saying attempted delivery failed due to signature is required.
So, I never get my meds, as they are always shipped back to sender.
Totally worthless company, run obviously by idiots.
