Earlier this year, I invested a few hundred dollars in Fundrise after reading an article on CNN praising the company. What a disappointment! In spite of the fact that the property market is hot at the moment, I have not received any advice from them and I am losing money. In order to receive my money back, I redeemed my account and I was informed that my request would take 2.5 months to be reviewed.

Back when real estate plummeted, I made the mistake of giving this scam a chance. I've invested pursuant to their advice, and I'm still in the red. As soon as my principal is in the black, I'm bailing. Don't bother with this Fundrise. It's a trap, and it's crap.

There are positive reviews being posted by people who work for fundrise. I put $500 into it and when I checked my investment 1 year later, they said they had never received an investment from me. Please don’t invest here. Try Robinhood where they don’t “lose(steal)” your money.

I feel like a total fool for investing with Fundrise. They seemed to be returning a decent rate - not great but okay, until the day I wanted to liquidate my shares and make a withdrawal. Little did I realize that 50% of my "investment" went into something they called an "Illiquid IPO", which they now describe thusly: "Fundrise iPO investors should be prepared to hold the investment indefinitely", and also: "redemption may be limited or suspended, or there may be no possibility of redemption" Hold the investment Indefinitely? How is that even an investment? It's a DONATION. In other words, I just donated money to Fundrise with no way to get it back. That's quite an investment scheme! This fact wasn't brought to my attention at the time I invested several years ago. I'm now reporting them to the Federal Trade Commission and the Attorney General for fraud.

I have been with them for 2 years and slowly made a little money only to lose all the gains and then some one day when I signed in. Now, they changed the IRA waiver fee policy to state I need $25K to waive it when it used to be just invest $3500 a year in the IRA to waive it. I have no choice now but to liquidate and lose yet another 1% in fees. Meanwhile, I am sure they are going to charge me additional fees while they hold my money and decide when to return it. This is a big scam, so avoid them!!

So far I am loving my experience with Fundrise. It is very easy to track my investment performance and I get dividends paid on a regular basis. Seems like the easiest way to invest in real estate. The only reason its not 5 stars is that I haven't seen long term returns so its hard to say long term how it will perform

My Initial investment was 2k and since Invested over a year ago. I have only lost money. Hoping it changes since they were saying we should receive a 7 plus interest gain.

Returns have been decent, but if you want to do a withdrawal you lose a portion of the gains and you have no control of when you get the funds. It is the most non-liquid investment I’ve ever participated in. For withdraw requests below a certain threshold (maybe $20K), there should be no more than a 7 day wait. 3-4 months is unacceptable.
