My Hear.com experience really changed my world. I kept seeing these ads for the Horizon mini hearing aids with the no obligation trial. I hadn’t had a hearing test in over a decade, but had noticed more and more people were “mumbling”. I’ve had to ask people to repeat themselves more often over the past few years. My hearing test indicated hearing aids would help. The Horizon minis were extremely comfy from the start. Sounds were strikingly brighter and fuller. I had no idea what I’d been missing. Because of my specific hearing loss, I still had difficulty hearing voices during background noise while wearing the Horizon minis (which still strike me as magical gems you place in your ears to open up the world). I ended up returning them in order to get different hearing aids for my needs. Hear.com facilitated my return and refund with no issues. The local provider working with them was adequate, but less than stellar and did delay my return a bit. Melanie from Hear.com was very supportive, encouraging, and positive throughout the process. Like a good friend looking out for your best interests.

There much to be said on how the folks at Hear.com supported the introduction and use of hearing aids. It was very professionally done with much care. However, one thought I would like to share which came as an awkward surprise to me, and that is with regards to the financial aspect of this experience. While Hear.com extends a free 45 day trial, and while individuals are afforded this period of time to determine if hearing aids are even warranted for use, I was pressed for the viability of the financing of them which seemed to me a bit out of place. While I hadn't quite determine if hearing aids were something I needed, the pursuit for the financial aspect for them seemed a little like a high pressure car salesperson pushing like the purchasing of them was a done deal. I felt like it really wasn't a trial period to determine yea or nay, but rather only a time period for hear.com to see a person could even afford them. My expectation would have been for this part of the experience to be more towards the end of the free trial period, perhaps 10 days prior to the end of the trial period. Mine was more at the front of the Free Trial period which again, felt a little awkward to me. Additionally, there was some confusion as to when the first payment was to be made based off the documentation I had received. My first payment was stated to have taken place on 2/15/2023 when really the first payment was due on 3/21/2023, over a month later. This was learned after some phone calls were made to the Allegro people and then to Hear.com

Trisha Nordstrom is my sales representative, and she answered every question and concern professionally and with care (she’s a great listener!). My audiologist is also amazing—he, too, is a great listener and diagnosed and tailored my devices to my needs perfectly. Moreover, the fact that they can be recharged and don’t require battery changes was a huge deal maker for me—and they work!!

Susanne Ciufo and Dr. Emily Smith were upbeat, professional, attentive and knowledgeable! They were there for me at any time during the 45-day trial. I was very impressed with the technology they provided to perform the hearing test at home. They arranged for a UPS Pickup, at their expense, for everything that had to be returned. This was a flawless experience from end to end!

From start to finish the HEAR.COM team was outstanding and this experience was very well handled. I admit I did not want to get the hearing aids but this professional experience and overall joy I have in hearing things I didn't realize I was missing has made it a wonderful process. I should have done this years ago and cannot recommend HEAR.COM more...their service and support during this process was more than one typically gets in this day and time...the home audiology testing all the way through the device setup was easy and supported my insane work schedule. I cannot say more...this was a GREAT EXPERIENCE!
