Listen, I need to warn you about Howard’s Van Line because they are a total rip off. They hit me with a $787 deposit upfront, then they demanded $532 when they picked up my stuff, and another $532 upon delivery. But here’s the real scam—they tried to charge me an additional $3500 on top of all that. This company is absolutely disgusting and shady. Do yourself a favor and avoid Howard’s Van Line at all costs. They’ll nickel and dime you until you’re broke and leave you feeling completely screwed over. Don’t make the same mistake I did. Stay far, far away from these thieves.

If I could rate them less and 1 star I would. Horrible company. We were told we would get an entire truck for one price and that their movers would move us. They ended up contracting our move out to another company, and they showed up 2 hours after the original time. Absolutely horrible communication. Upon showing up the price we had agreed on basically doubled and we found out we don't actually get an entire truck. I could go on and on. DO NOT USE.

They brought a truck that was too small for all my stuff, and I had to make a second trip in my own car. My back is still sore from lugging those extra boxes. Definitely not what I paid for.

The movers ate food out of my fridge without asking. I had leftover Chinese food I was really looking forward to, and it was gone before the end of the day. So not cool.

My large mirror was packed with no padding except a single sheet of newspaper. It cracked right in the center. They tried to claim it was already like that, which was absolutely not true.

Last month, I had the worst possible experience with this moving company. First of all, they arrived without even a heads-up notice, about three hours late. The staff appeared hurried and chaotic when they eventually arrived, throwing my priceless paintings into the van as if they were random trash. I genuinely heard a huge thump at one point, and I watched one guy shrug nonchalantly as though nothing had happened. Several of my ceramic artifacts were chipped and two frames were damaged by the time they were done loading. In addition, they misplaced one of the boxes that contained my cookware. In the end, I had to swap out half of my dishes. It was a nightmare of a day—so hectic. I would never again entrust them with anything.
