Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re genuinely sorry to hear about your dissatisfaction and understand how frustrating this situation must have been.
We’d like to clarify that all engines we sell are used OEM parts, sourced from professional recyclers. Mileage details are provided based on the information available at the time of procurement. While we make every reasonable effort to verify details through visual inspection and basic checks, used engines especially those from vehicles over 20 years old can show signs of age, handling, and storage. Surface grime, seized or broken bolts, and the need to replace routine wear items such as spark plugs or gaskets are common and expected with used engines of this age.
Regarding mileage, VIN tags from donor vehicles may reflect the vehicle’s odometer reading and not necessarily the mileage of the engine itself. In some cases, engines may have been replaced earlier in the vehicle’s life, or the numbers referenced may be internal stock or tag identifiers used by recyclers. As such, these numbers do not represent guaranteed engine mileage.
With respect to compression testing, results can vary depending on the testing method, environment, and whether the engine is tested in-vehicle or on a stand. Minor startup noise such as brief lifter noise can also occur on engines that have been sitting and often resolves once oil circulation is fully restored. Compression testing is not something we advertise, promise, or guarantee, and compression values are not included as part of the sale.
We apologize if you feel a follow-up call was missed; that is not the experience we strive to provide. While we respect your decision to share your opinion, we do stand by our processes, disclosures, and the fact that our team remained polite and professional throughout the interaction.
We appreciate your feedback, as it helps us improve communication and continue setting clear expectations when it comes to used automotive parts.
