When I ordered a necklace from Ludovic, I was told my price would be $508.05 and nothing more. When UPS came, they told me here would be a $48.50 customs fee I had to pay before they could give me the necklace. Long story short, I was assured that the fee would be refunded to me. They did refund the fee, but after returning the necklace, I’m told that they have given me a store credit for that amount. After much back and forth with them, they are refunding the fee.

You placed an order with us, and after it was shipped, a customs fee was applied by your local authorities, not by us. To win you over as a customer, we paid that fee out of our own pocket. Then, after you received the piece, you chose to return it. We accepted the return without hesitation, gave you a full refund, and (again, as a separate gesture) refunded the customs fee, even though it was paid to the government, not to us. In the end, you paid nothing, received full support, and still, you left a 1-star review. We truly don’t know what more we could have done to make this a 5-star experience.

The 5-carat ring you purchased under order #13312 is not made of solid gold, it is crafted from yellow gold-plated silver. That’s why the price was around $180, whereas a solid gold version would cost significantly more due to the material value and durability. We use one of the highest-quality plating standards in the industry, but like all plated jewelry, it may wear over time, especially if exposed to lotions, perfumes, or other chemicals. That’s a natural property of plated metals and also why they are offered at a more affordable price point. We did receive your email, and we appreciate you reaching out, but unfortunately, the review was posted just a short time after, before we had a chance to properly look into the issue and respond. We would have been more than happy to help resolve the matter for you. Your ring is still under warranty, and we’d be happy to help make this right for you. You’re welcome to return the ring to us for inspection and a fresh round of plating to restore its original shine. I created a custom ring through Ludovic after reading many reviews, buying from other companies and doing tons of research. I liked a few different details from some of the rings I saw online but they would also be missing some details that I really wanted so I decided to go the custom route. I’m so glad I did and that Ludovic was the jeweler I chose to create my dream ring. The process was so seamless. They made a drawing of every detail of my ring to approve or make changes, when that was finalized they began making it. When finished they sent me a video and pictures to approve the design and I could not believe how beautiful it looked. Then they shipped it out and I received it in 2 days! I cannot tell you how impressed I was when I saw it in person. It is STUNNING. More beautiful and radiant than any diamond that I own. The quality is incredible and the way this ring sparkles is just amazing. If you are on the fence about moissanite or this company, don’t be. They are 100% legit, professional and deliver exceptional quality. I’m really impressed.
