On April 16 I called Blue Cross Blue Shield, because my blood pressure medication was about to run out in about three weeks, and I had no refills, as my PCP had retired the end of December. I did not know what to do, as I did not want to do a video (?) visit with another doctor in her practice, (which I was told I would have to do, in order to get a new prescription for my blood pressure medicine, since right now patients are not going into doctors' offices, unless for an emergency). The BCBS representative informed me that I could probably get a prescription by calling Telehealth (MD LIVE), who would ask me a few questions and have a doctor call me. The doctor called right away and also asked several questions, then called a 90 day (it used to only 30) prescription to my local pharmacy. This was a life saver and a great relief and gives me time now to find another PCP.

Great doctor-very personable! The next time I need to talk to a doctor, I will cross my fingers I can speak to Dr. Steven Gurland! The medications he prescribed were just what I needed to get my asthma under control! Thanks!
