Love Ontraport. I've used them for 5 years now. There's just so much you can do with their platform. I've got all sorts of insane campaigns and automation going on. And their service is great - being able to chat live with support any time I'm stuck is a huge plus.

Ontraport has many great features and it is powerful. But what is the point of spending weeks/months of effort (to set up campaigns, messages, lists, landing pages) but all your effort is wasted when their emailing engine is not up to scratch at delivering business class email... the sending quality is low no matter what you do or how low the spam score (on gmail most emails will go to promotions or spam and many other emails get blocked or it goes into low class email folders with junk.) I am managing an event where I can contact every person... and actually get them to go through spam and look for mails that are being sent, and they are not there or are in promotions and spam). If I send the exact same email (copy and paste) through my office365 account then they get delivered 100% of the time (Which I have to do manually now). I have been asking for a feature (which many other apps have) to send email through my own MTA (mail transfer agent)... then I can select my actual server, where I have control over the domain (we only send business email, not spam)... sending your mail through a public mail server is not going to deliver the quality you need. I am looking for another solution, and I am going to throw away a year of work on Ontraport because important emails are not being delivered correctly. Dont waste your time until they allow you to do this.

Wayne! This is a terrible experience and I'm sorry you're having it! If I may, can I make a couple of suggestions? First, you should give our postmaster team a shout! I see you tried us a year ago, but we haven't heard from you since. We have a very talented and experienced postmaster team - 15 years in the biz! - that we make available to all clients as part of your normal fee. Second, a quick look at your account makes me wonder why you think you're having such problems. Your open rates are stellar, well above 50%. It could be that there's some kind of misunderstanding about the stats you're looking at. If not, it's certainly a problem that can be solved. Finally, we do indeed offer the functionality to allow you to send your mail through a 3rd party SMTP service, and we do it for free. Of course, nearly no one uses that service from us because we actually are one of the most experienced teams in this industry when it comes to delivery and there's really no problem we haven't seen and solved. We hope you'll give us a chance to work this out for you (and then hope that you'll update this awful review! ☹ )

My wife and I opened our digital agency (Musselwhite Marketing) more than 11 years ago. Since then we have used a number of different marketing platforms (Infusionsoft, GetResponse, HubSpot, ActiveCampaign, etc...). Taking nothing away from those platforms they just didn't work the way we would have liked them to. Starting with Landon Ray (founder & CEO) on down, everyone seems vested in our (and your) success. The support staff is fabulous to work with and extremely responsive. I wish other companies offered the same level of support!
