Hi Brian! Thank you so much for your generous review, despite the difficulty you encountered with the app and the cooling turning off through the night.
We are more than happy to help with this. :) The good news is once the settings are perfect, you don't need to touch the app usually until the next major season change. (Summer, Winter, Spring/Fall)
If the cooling is turning off in the night, it isn't "off" -- it means the fans decreased or stopped generating airflow because your skin reached the set point for that sleep phase. To solve this, you can try one of two things.
1.) Next time you wake up warm, use the manual controller to lower the cooling set point by 1 level. This change will take effect in your settings without you needing to access the app. Then, hold the cold button (down button) for 5 seconds to activate cold burst, for a bit of rapid cooling in the moment. :)
2.) Open the app, and drag only the 2nd number on your Home screen (with the sliders) down by 1 level. This might be a better set point for you, and will take effect the next time you use your topper.
3.) There *is* an option to disable Responsive Cooling, which keeps the fans at a constant speed - but we don't recommend it as a starting point in your case. It sounds like you likely just need the set point a little bit cooler, and you'll be good to go! (disabling Responsive Cooling causes most people to wake up too cold)
If this doesn't help or doesn't sound like quite the help you need, please feel free to email our team at [email protected] and share screenshots of your Home, Schedule, and Settings screens in the app, and let them know you're still waking up hot once in a while. They can offer more guidance. You can also request a phone call. :) www.perfectlysnug.com/getting-started has tips as well, but sometimes some friendly help on a call is better.
Thank you again for your review, we're thrilled to hear your topper has improved your sleep so dramatically!
Warm regards,
Dusty
