Pimsleur is designed as a speaking and listening method first, but many courses do include dedicated reading lessons that teach the written system separately from the core audio lessons. That separation is intentional because speaking, listening, and reading develop different skills. Depending on each learner’s goals, additional reading, writing, and vocabulary work can also be helpful supplements. Your advice about taking notes, focusing on words and phrases that are difficult, and repeating lessons when needed is excellent.
