About Platinumtherapylights
Platinum Therapy Lights designs and manufactures high output red and near infrared light therapy panels for home users, athletes, and professional settings. Our BIOMAX and BIOMAX PRO product lines are engineered to deliver consistent, measurable light output across clinically relevant wavelengths, with performance verified by independent laboratory testing at LightLab International. The BIOMAX PRO line is built as a separate, more advanced platform that sits alongside the existing BIOMAX panels, not as a simple refresh. BIOMAX PRO panels retain the same physical dimensions as the original BIOMAX line, so existing stands remain compatible, but they incorporate approximately 30% more LEDs and provide about 50% greater tested light output. They use a zero gap design, where LEDs extend to the edge of each panel to reduce coverage gaps when multiple units are combined, and they feature a matte black finish for a more discrete installation in home or clinical environments. BIOMAX PRO also introduces individual control over seven LED wavelength bands and adjustable pulse output from 0 to 990 Hz. These controls are managed through an upgraded remote and a dedicated app, which support more precise, repeatable protocols for users who want to align their sessions with published research or specific goals such as skin health, recovery, or general wellness. :contentReference[oaicite:2]{index=2} Platinum Therapy Lights focuses on clear technical documentation, transparent performance data, and ongoing education around red light therapy so customers can understand how to use their panels effectively and integrate them into their daily routines.Across both lines, our aim is to provide reliable, durable devices with straightforward controls and support resources that help users choose the right model, set up their space, and track consistent use over time. BIOMAX and BIOMAX PRO panels are offered at different price and feature levels so customers can match the system to their needs,

Customer service is zero. I spent almost $6,000 on lights. They are rude, incompetent, and insufficient. I lost a bracket for mouthing the lights and contacted them for a replacement. The solution was use the item on the floor. These panels each way 30 or 40 pounds. Completely ridiculous. Overpriced. Heavy. No customer service.

Worst service ever
Subject: Urgent Complaint Regarding Order #9100 and Poor Service Experience
Dear Platinum led Team,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction and frustration with the recent purchase and service experience involving my order #9100. My journey with your company has been extremely disappointing, and I feel compelled to detail the series of events that have led to this point.
As someone who has been passionate about LED therapy for many years, I was excited about purchasing my first light from Platinum Light Therapy. My enthusiasm stems from a long history of research—having reviewed over 10,000 journals on photobiomodulation—and even building my own panels as a child. This passion continued into my career as a physical therapist, where I have used LED panels to aid in patient recovery from surgeries such as hip replacements.
Given this background, I was looking forward to experiencing the quality and service your company promised. However, my experience has been anything but positive.
**Timeline of Issues:**
1. **Initial Delivery Failure**: On the scheduled delivery day, UPS never showed up. I had taken the day off specifically to receive the device, which was meant to be a surprise birthday gift for my mother.
2. **Repeated Delays and Miscommunications**: Despite assurances, the delivery was rescheduled multiple times. Each time, I adjusted my schedule, resulting in significant financial losses (up to $8,000 per day off). UPS claimed they would deliver between 2 and 6 PM on a Saturday, yet by 7:30 PM, there was still no delivery.
3. **Signature Requirement Confusion**: I was informed that the signature requirement could be waived, but after spending 45 minutes trying to do so online, I discovered this was not true. I paid an additional $17 for a rescheduled delivery, which also failed to arrive as promised.
4. **Customer Service Failures**: When I contacted your customer service, I was met with unprofessional and dismissive responses. After explaining my situation to a representative named Matt, his response was, "So what do you want to do about this?" which was both unhelpful and infuriating. This conversation ended with me being hung up on.
5. **Restocking Fee and Return Issues**: I decided to return the device due to these ongoing issues, only to be informed of a $450 restocking fee. Furthermore, there was no record of my initial purchase when I tried to sort out the stand issue, forcing me to buy another stand.
The grief and frustration I have experienced with Platinum Light Therapy are unparalleled. The constant miscommunications, failed promises, and poor customer service have left me extremely disappointed. Despite my initial excitement and readiness to recommend your products to others, I now find myself warning against doing business with your company.
I urge you to address these issues promptly and consider revising your policies and customer service training to prevent such occurrences in the future. I would appreciate a formal response outlining how you intend to rectify this situation.
Sincerely,
MN

Do NOT buy it if you live outside USA
After reading positive reviews about the product, I decided to purchase it, considering its reasonable price. I reside in Canada, and although the delivery was prompt, I was surprised to be charged $220 in customs fees for a $500 product. As of now, I can't comment on the product's quality, but I strongly advise against purchasing it if you live outside the USA due to the unexpected and steep customs charges.

POOR EXPERIENCE
Although I received a quality product, the company services were very unprofessional. Not only was my order shipped much later than indicated in the initial item screen (after PlatinumLED received payment) but also, after requesting cancellation for a very delinquent item, my message was ignored and I was conveniently moved to the front of the line for shipping ETA. Within hours, I received a note that my order was shipped and there was nothing that could be done. UPS on the other hand, confirmed they hadn't received any goods ready for shipment from the supplier. This completely eroded my trust in future quality service from this company.

Terrible company with shady business…
Terrible company with shady business practices. They practically make it impossible to return anything or charge an arm and a leg because they know they have poor products, and the likelihood of return is very high. Shipping times the quality of the product and everything is just absolutely horrible. I would stay as far away from this company as you possibly can. There are far better options for red light out there search those ones out. Do not buy from this company you've been warned.

Horrible customer service
Product seems ok so far. Customer service from Platinum Led is horrible. They told me something had shipped several times only to find out later that it hadn’t. Once I received the product, it was wrong for the unit that I ordered and they made a point in telling me that I was blocked from their customer service line and I would have to email for any further service. Do not waste your money with this company.
Update: this is an email from that company,
We sent you the base you ordered. Please note. Your customer support and warranty have been cancelled due to you absolutely horrific behavior.
Future emails from you will be ignored.

Misleading Website…Warning!
This is a very misleading website...you are not purchasing what is shown in the pictures...Had $5K worth of lights show up only to realize that the mounting stand isn't included...despite the photo and no explanation. $800 later...Platinum was no bargain, I felt misled and customer service is, at best, apathetic.

Don't get wrapped up in the HYPE
I honestly wish I had read the reviews first on Trustpilot before dealing with this inadequate company. I truly can relate to the postings in this forum for they are a real concern especially when the products are not cheap.
The shipping is a REAL nightmare. They post that they are so overwhelmed with explosive unprecedented demands for their products. To me that sounds very cockish as tho you should feel prestigious to be apart of this amazing cult like club-complete rubbish! I come here to discover this shipping issue has been going on for years.
I'm emphatically thrilled for their explosive product demands, they should be on Forbes top list for most successful rising company after all these years.
With all our money rolling in they should be able to upgrade their ability to "network" or incorporate their computers with the shipping department.
IMO, this company missed the one day in school, teaching the basics of "supply & demand"
They do have a very competent website designer. Kudos on the eye candy web designers constantly changing the content. Really gives the sense of evolvement.
After they once again failed to meet the first ETA, which was over a month, they direct you to a weblink showing you a new ETA which is another month of waiting. I was done waiting so I canceled. I didn't like that they charge you & while waiting all that time for shipping that keeps getting pushed back- do they collect interest on our money? I know Amazon doesn't charge your account until product ships.
Anyway, my account was refunded immediately after canceling, thank God.
Would I recommend this company? No. They pretty much ruined the experience & excitement I had for red light therapy. They advise that no one comes close to their 13 years in the business & warn you of day by day company knock-offs, (I have the emails). In the end, they just couldn't deliver on all their HYPE.
